Alright, hello, I’ve recently decided that I needed a new gaming setup, I’ve been on a laptop for a really long time and I finally convinced myself that I wanted a gaming PC. My budget was around 2’000$AUD and I was firm on RTX and Intel products (since I’m used to tweaking/modifying them etc… I know that AMD and RX are better for gaming but I always preferred those two)

Anyway today I’ve been to a shop to repair my current laptop and I came across this beauty of a PC that had an RTX 3080 and an I9 10900K (idk how many cores forgot to check it tbh). That was selling for 2’000AUD (crazy coincidence right? I’ll try to attach a picture of the specs and I wanted to ask you guys if it was a fair price for a high-end pc like it…

I’ve had a quick look online for prices, RTX3080 is unavailable on the Australian Market currently but if it was available it would for 1200AUD (second hand) and the I9 10900K is around 1000AUD I personnally think that it’s a good idea but my friends concider it “overkill” or whatever. I plan on playing CS2 and MW3, also will be using AutoCAD, AutoDesk3D and numerous video editing softwares.

Wow this text is getting long for nothing.

I would also like to add that I know that this is a little extra for the games that I’ll be playing but I always wanted a strong setup since I was a teenager. To be able to play games that are not out yet without stressing about my pc’s capabilities.

So what do y’all think? Is the PC worth the money? Or am I getting scammed ?

Keep in mind that the PC has been used but all the components are basically brand new. The case is a little bit damaged. I look forward to your replies.

Hello Suspicious-Deer-1784, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!
