Minus the GPUs that I kept from an old build, everything else is new. Built it last March. I really wanted to continue having two light sabers in my case and this was the only way. Plus, I wasn’t about to drop the money on 3090tis.

Specs are:

– Intel i7 13700k
– EVGA Z690 DARK K|NGP|N
– G.Skill 64GB DDR5 6600
– 2X Titan Xp StarWars Edition in SLI
– 1000W EVGA SuperNova Gold
– Lots of SSDs (2.5” and NVME)
– CoolerMaster SickleFlow 120mm Fans
– Corsair 5000D Mid Tower
– CoolerMaster PL360 AIO
– Dell 24” monitor – 360hz @1080p

SLI was an unreachable dream in high school and irrelevant by the time I earned enough to afford it. Respect for keeping it going though, I like the aesthetic too

SLI was retired a long time ago. It’s no longer supported. I’d be surprised if you’re able to get it working in a new rig.

  3. If only devs cared about DX12 explicit multi-gpu support.

That thing even lets you mix and match any card, you could be using AMD and Nvidia cards at the same time.

I remember wanting to build an SLI system back in 2009, but it was way too much money for me lol.

I haven’t for over 10 years. SLI 770s were cheaper and performed better than a 780 so it actually made economic sense, but even back then at it’s peak it still had issues.

My first build had SLI 760’s and I felt like a badass.

I got a system back up PC that I like to play older titles on sometimes for fun

    i7 2600k
    16gb
Motherboard I can’t recall it exactly other than its Gigabyte

And I swap between my SLI 760s and Crossfire HD6950’s

Not since my 1080 Ti setup. I was all about it back then though.

  9. I remember when I had 2 GTX 680 and I got worse performance in Splintercell Blacklist and It drove me mad. That was the moment I decided that I was going to ditch SLI and I got myself a 980 after that.

Hahah literally like no games are sli compatible. It doesn’t matter if your system has it not the game has to support it. It’s a dead tech in 2024 and useless with modern gpus.
