$700 for a refurbished card 🤢 $200 less can get a 4070 that performs damn near the same with dlss 3.
I haven’t purchased a refurbished video card but other things I’ve purchased refurbished in the past have been in good condition.

Nvidia was probably holding onto the refurbished cards until they had enough to be worth selling to a distributor.
Those prices don’t actually look very good. The RTX 4070 is as good as the 3080 and a bit cheaper. The 4070 Super is as good as a 3090 and is $150 cheaper. The 4070-Ti Super is better than a 3090-Ti and is the same price.
Prices are not worth it.
4070 and 4070super/ti are all in those price ranges and far better cards.
I wish I had a micro center here I’d be all over some of those combos deals
Video card pricing is insane… I am probably out after my 3070 doesn’t cut it for me anymore… I am not spending $800 for a 3yr old (refurb) gpu… madness… absolute madness.
Yeah but the prices are dogshit *unless* you can use them for some kind of ML/AI workload in the case of the 3090 where it has 24gb of VRAM.
But the 4070 is as cheap or cheaper than the 3080 at $550 and it’s really a better card. The 4070S is $600 MSRP and significantly faster.
If you’re a gamer, these are *dogshit* deals.
The prices are dumb. you can buy brand new 4000 series for that much.
For those prices, no. I got a 3080 10GB for <$400 on eBay late last year with 30 day return. It’s great! But if I’m shelling out 700$ I’m not messing with anything less than a 4070. I’d go 4080 myself, but I’m happy with my card right now.

the 3090 ti is semi-appealing because of all the vram. the shaders id write with one of those to fuck around with lmao..
