Why does everyone download Win-rar all the time? 7Zip your program since (no idea when that released)

Separate drives for OS, games, files, etc (plus backup images on other drives)? If I reformat I lose nothing. If a drive fails I lose nothing. Is this so uncommon?

you dont need to download steam game make steam use your other hdd to store them, so when you reinstall steam you just need to add the other drive again it will see all your games again.

I’ve never reinstalled Steam, I just copy my Steam directory from my old computer to my new one. Works every time.

All working fine after fresh Windows install. No need to reinstall or download anything.
For drivers, programms and stuff i used chocolatey back in the days. Now i do it with winget.
EDIT: If you really have to reinstall steam, make backups of your gamefiles. Comes very handy for heavily modded games. STEAM have an option for this.

I use both winrar and 7 zip. Some compressed files takes forever to extract with winrar but get superfast extraction in 7zip. No idea why.

Funny how the only people I’ve ever seen use Winrar are out of nowhere youtubers who release random guides on how to fix game errors or install mods. Especially the kind of youtubers who publish videos of guides that don’t even fix a problem no one really has.
