Playing Competitive CS2 Left Handed Broke My Brain

Sponsored by Corsair, check out the new M75 Wired and M75 Wireless here: https://cor.sr/WarOwl
I played Competitive Counter-Strike 2 left handed. We still don’t have cl_righthand 0, so playing with the mouse in my left hand and the keyboard in my right is… the next best thing?

  1. Warowl I totally agree that Counter Strike is in a league of its own and no other shooters are even of the same category. Lately I've been enjoying Hell Let Loose though, it's also very thoughtful in the way that it's balanced. Not that you asked but it's worth your time if you're still hoping to find some variety that isn't just dumb dumbness.

  2. ha, if you think playing with the keys over on the right or the arrow keys is weird, here's how I have been playing FPS games for 20+ years:

    left shift = forwards
    left ctrl = backwards
    a/d = strafe
    c= crouch
    s= sprint
    w= walk

    for CS specifically:
    q = molly
    e= flashbang
    middle mouse = smoke

    That control scheme using the shift and ctrl buttons was standard for competitive DN3D play and I've stuck with it ever since. You use your pinky for forwards/backwards and then your three other fingers do the q/a w/s d/c.

  3. My dad was born in the 60s and he was forced to use his right hand to do everything even tough hes left handed, now he can use both.

  4. Sounds like you're more Cross-dominance/mixed-handed than ambidextrous. (preferring to do some tasks with one had and other with the other.)
    I've used my left hand for mouse and right for keyboard before, usually when working in awkward positions…but imagining playing a game like that made my skin crawl ngl.

  5. So I stopped playing CsGO several years ago, but when I did I used to be much better than my friends. I also happen to be (mostly) ambidextrous. As such one of my biggest flexes among my friend group, and also my way to nerf myself when playing 1v1/2/3 against them on duel maps

  6. I'd still recommend giving Overwatch 2 a try. The most reason season has been a huge plus for the game. The skill ceiling is so high. This is coming from someone who regularly played the Counter-Strike series for 15 years, from 2000 to 2015. I likely have 15k hours in the CS series and about 3k in OW since it released in 2016.

  7. hehe, what about using a trackpoint next time??? i acutally using trackpoint on my thinkpad to play cs, and it's GREAT!!!!!

  8. Great video! I also wanted to game with my left (non-dominant) hand but after a bit realized my mouse just wasn’t designed for it but my right hand only. This video and the sponsor are definitley gonna motivate me to go for it

  9. I recently broke my right hand and I know exactly how this feels trying to switch to lefty period your brain knows what to do but your body can't do it it is a very weird feeling period also does this mean that you combined all 4 of the side buttons on the mouse to individual keys? if so this is an amazing feature

  10. funny thing cuz im naturally left handed but am forced to play right handed cuz everything feels more comfortable on right handed. its like golf, left handed stuff is less common.

  11. guys! u see the mouse going down and up when @thewarowl flicks right and left, it means the mouse is not held properly. it means the mouse is tilted left/right.
    rule of thumb when choosing a mouse is u should be comfortable and left and right flick should be flat as possible and feel natural

  12. When I saw the sails at corsair, I thought it was a thing for The Pirate Bay for a moment, and was both amused and concerned.

  13. I've always wanted to try playing with my left hand holding the mouse because I'm left-handed. But, seeing this made me not really want to do it because I have spent too much time honing my skills using my right-hand 😂😂

  14. I am left handed and im confused why u just dont use the standard keys? i play 100% standard, i still use WASD and shift and control and such
