So a passively cooled 3050? Sounds cool!
not going to lie if you want a silent mini pc pretty cool.
It does look neat. I just kinda wish that nvidia would release a current gen desktop card at 75w tdp that isn’t a workstation card.
It’s a shame that this is probably the most powerful consumer card that doesn’t require external power, and only takes two slots.
There’s nothing wrong with a low power passive GPU.
That’s one thing I find it hard to find fault with the RTX 3050 6 GB with. That big gap between it and the 8 GB model (we’re talking something like this being 60% of the 8 GB!) is purely power savings, down from 130 watts to 70 watts, making it actually a little slower than the 4 GB model, if what you’re doing can fit in 4 GB, that is!
They’re sick, my HTPC is using a KalmX 1050ti. I’m a fan (ha) of using tech progress to go for low power and quiet stuff, not just always focusing on always squeezing out the highest output. Really wanna do a totally fanless build one day, just for the hell of it.
