4080S is slightly faster and slightly cheaper.
That’s a win-win.

200$ cheaper, More shading units, more tensor cores.
But yeah, I guess it’s the “same” if you squint really hard.

Had both, the biggest difference was that the 4080s was like $200 cheaper.
Only had both because the 4080s released while I was still in the return window on my 4080 haha
Dragon_211
It’s got the word super in it so it must be amazing!

Much better price per performance.

One is cheaper!

I think the 4080 super really targeted people who were wanting to upgrade an older pc or building a new one for the first time. If someone had the regular 4080, there’s no need to upgrade

I was kinda glad when I saw that the super wasn’t better in a selfish way. I paid $1200’for mine on launch. I woulda been pissed if the super was cheaper and blew it outta the water lol

I get that people are dogging on it because the 4080S should have been what the 4080 was to begin with, especially price wise. But it wasn’t. So, if you’re still convinced that there is no difference, do us all a favor if you’re looking to buy one, buy the 4080 instead, so that the people who do want a 4080S don’t have any issues finding them at MSRP. You can enjoy the same thing at a $200 premium, because the price difference is the same thing to you, right?

I still struggle if I should upgrade to a 4080s from my 3080. I went from 1440 to 4k and the 3080 is sweating a little
JaredSpectre
Wasnt the 4070ti originally a 4080 too?
Butthole_Surfer666
not true cuz one says super
Beautiful-Musk-Ox
one of them is 17% cheaper than the other, and 2% faster, so the price to performance is more than 17% better
HFIntegrale
1% – 3% difference for (-$200)
Nouns_2023
