
I spent all day watching reviews, seeing amazing footage etc. But a suspicious lack of good PS5 footage.
And here’s why! Low res textures everywhere, tool tips written in terrible English, button tool tips where the text wraps around the button.
Game is so far from finished. And sadly no decent policy from Sony to arrange a refund.
To anyone who was like me and considering this on PS5, I’d say to steer clear for now!

Not surprising. Their past games are evidence of this. Not terrible looking by any means, but their claim to fame is the physics for a reason because graphically the game has always looked kinda muddy and a generation behind. Didn’t expect much difference for this game, but kind of surprised to see virtually no leap forward in any capacity.
well don´t play on the PS5 then not issue on PC looks epic in 4k.
Rule 1 never play console game ported to PC.
Rule 2 never play PC games ported to console.
Rule nr 3 more than often the hardware is the issue not the game.

Why did you commit so much time to it? And how did you still buy it despite what you saw? Generally curious because it doesn’t add up.

That company only pumps out dog shit games for a niche market.
I wouldn’t count on Sony for anything really at this point.
Earlier this week I encountered the CE- error code that you usually get when your ps plus lapses and you try to start a monthly game.
Only if didn’t lapse I pay yearly, and now _EVERY SINGLE_ game licenses i’ve ever had on that account are locked.
I tried literally every recovery step online and finally contacted support.
NA support line, barely understandable Indian operators. Passed from operator to operator until finally I get the support’s support from a supervisor. They cannot figure out why my account has the licenses yet cannot use them. I cannot rebuy the games to play the ones I love in the interim. I cannot redownload anything I “own”, even free monthly games with my active subscription. I even upgraded my sub cos someone else had luck there. None here.
Sony is aware of this issue and has been since 6/22 as far as I know.
Talked to one guy and he’s been without his paid content since last August. They just kept stringing him along saying “end of year”, “February”, “were working on it”.
I got told “we haven’t been authorized to take any further action” when I asked after compensation or renewal of the licenses on my account.
It’s beyond pathetic a company as big as this can just completely blow off their customers when there’s problems on this scale. Let alone give their support agents so little authority they cannot even alter accounts in any way.
No resolutions. No compensation, just “wait and see, we’re working on it.” With A YEAR of people being affected by this.
I’m out almost 2k in content and ps plus payments and I have no recourse. I’m at my wits end with this company.
Never had any issues even close to this on Xbox or PC. Or even the switch.
TL;DR- All my games have the padlock in the upper corner. Tried every recovery step, reset ps, contacted support. No resolutions. Others affected have been strung along by support for upwards of a year so I’m contemplating going all ted k on Sony corporate offices now.
Edit: Go ahead and downvote me you fanboys and trolls but the point stands. I and many others can’t access digital content we paid money for. I know in this modern day we don’t technically “own” our digital media but we are still entitled to the licenses for these purchases as long as we haven’t broken the terms and services agreement.
Maybe instead of downvoting (or removing posts as r/PlayStation does the dicks) something you don’t agree with you could ignore it instead so someone who actually has some empathy can engage with the post.
On the PS4, you used to be able to hold the power button for several seconds, boot it in safe mode, and clear a cache of some sort to fix texture details like this. Does something similar exist on the PS5?
Are you sure you’ve downloaded the ps5 version of the game and not the ps4 one ?
So this game is being published by Saber interactive, and seeing this doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. If you want to know how this game will go, look at Dakar Desert Rally for an example.
That game released in 2022 in a buggy, and broken state. Over the course of the next year, they delayed patches, cut promised content, then did one last patch that broke the game even further and said they will no longer be supporting the game at all.
People have been left with an unusable product for awhile now, and Saber basically said “get fucked”. Avoid them at all costs.
My buddy picked it up already for his new xbox, hoping to play some of it tonight. I’m on PC and for $50 it doesn’t even have COOP yet, nor have they share any info about if it will be crossplay like Snowrunner… Which runs only intermittently well at best.
Reading these comments doesn’t get my hopes up that this will end up being a polished crossplay coop game for the gang. RIP.
I’m betting there is a day 1 patch incoming. This is one of many reasons I won’t buy games early, especially the whole “pay a bunch and get the game a few days early” model.
