Why is it even there. Are you sure you don’t have any other slots under the cpu you could use (they usually come covered by an heatsink)?
It’s going to be fine as these don’t have moving parts, but still looks so wrong to me lmao. It’s the first time i see a m2 slot there.

Details from me, OP:
While adding another M.2 drive to my 6yo rig, I discovered that the second M.2 port does not have the drive lay flat against my motherboard like most primary M.2 ports. Instead, the drive sticks right out perpendicularly– in the worst way imaginable. It’s snug in the port but still floating, barely touching the traditional ssd below it and it’s FREAKING ME OUT.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to protect this M.2 drive? I could move the sdd below it, but then it’ll be even more ‘floating-in-air’.
Btw the primary M.2 slot is being used and is safe behind the silver panel. Thanks in advance for any suggestions and I’m sorry for the dusty rig!

Looks fine. They don’t weigh anything.

You’re missing the vertical M.2 bracket. Might be worth checking the mobo box for it?

Interesting. I’ve never see that before. I bet there’s adapters for that, like a 90 degree bend.
what motherboard do u have?
1. ASUS moment.
2. If you have a 3D printer and some small screws, print [this](https://www.printables.com/model/61222-m2-nvme-holder-x99-deluxe).

You should see a doctor if a SSD is giving you anxiety. I would be anxious if i had no future.
This scares me.
Got the same stupid slot. Decided to wait with adding a new nvme.
Well, no, my slot is even dumber because the sad would be in front of a cpu heatsink.:D
Are you sure this is m.2 and not just a really small PCI-E?
I honestly thought this was a shit post and it was stuffed into a pci or some port not designed for it haha. Wow
what the
Is this slot meant for the short wifi module?
Dont know why they dont just do a rear mount m.2 this looks so dumb
Prozac?
M.2 extender cable
Fuck I thought that was a joke. I newer saw something like that
wow this design really suck why? lol
sorry but i laughed imagining how this would look like in a real pc
is this slot for a wifi card? I believe it’s Pcie/sata, and not nvme.
Is this real 😀? /Srs
for anxiety i take medication. I don’t know if that will help you, or your m.2 ssd.
What the fuck
Call your mother board manufacturer and tell them what the fuck!?
Never seen this even on M-atx boards, assuming this is an Itx only thing?
I genuinely thought this was a shitpost. Learning something new every day
Biblically accurate nvme.
