
Someone on here was explaining to me how how flashing vbios is pointless if you are voltage limited or thermal limited, i can understand thermal limit, but isn’t every card voltage limited regardless of power limit? if i crank occt in my 4080 it will reach the 400w power limit but it will also reach the 1.095 voltage limit, so going based on what the person was recommending, their is no point to flash to a higher power limit card like zotac amp extreme 4080 of 450w since regardless how much i increase my power limit, the voltage can’t go higher than 1.095 so no point right?

Its for power limit increase. Not sure if it still works for modern GPUs, but you can also pencil mod your GPU for more voltage (though this is permanent and somewhat dangerous as the GPU will be given more voltage than it thinks its receiving)
