    Another day, another cancellation. Sad.

Only Electronic Arts could lose money on a Star Wars game. Imagine what FromSoftware could do with that title.

I feel like gaming industry is falling apart…
    Again

EA should just shut down so any of the good devs can go work for a better company that respects their employees, customers and doesn’t stifle creativity for increased profits.

Respawn’s first person shooter? Battlefront 3?

I’m honestly not surprised, EA is notorious for disappointing gamers. Was looking forward to that ‘Star Wars’ game, but guess my disappointment will just blend in with the rest of their fans’ anger towards them. *sigh*

Man fuck EA. A Star wars fps that isn’t battlefront probably would have been cool.

Star Wars games practically print money and EA still somehow fucks it up.

As much as I dislike a ton of EA things, this is less their fault with the lay-offs. We saw a huge increase during 2019-2020 for demand of at-home entertainment like Video Games and thus they hired more people to satiate this increase in demand and it was only a matter of time before lay-offs occurred if this demand plummeted after lockdowns were no longer a thing.

The star wars cancellation I’m upset about though.

Ya the one studio under EA that actually makes good games is no longer making the one game that probably would have been amazing

I feel like EA ends every press release by cancelling a Star Wars game.

Star Wars games and cancelations. Name a more iconic duo

I went to Best buy to grab a quick Kindle reader before travel. I heard “gaming” by 3 different parties while I was waiting. I think gaming is a buy imo.

What the hell is going on with all of these layoffs? What is the economic indicator that game companies are working on, here? We aren’t in a recession — the economy is quite strong (for corporations, at least).

Has something spooked them? I somehow doubt they all decided to cut labor costs at the exact same time just because.

Gotta be rough to be in the games industry right now

I’m fine with less star wars garbage being shoved down my throat. Let the franchise die

  17. Chessh2036

The amount of layoffs in the game industry is insane. Everyone is getting hit.

Why are so many Devs cutting staff, it’s not like they don’t make money. Is it’s just a collective greed push?

  19. Honest question, when was their last good game?
