Interestingly we cannot activate the Photo Mode in this scene, I’m sure devs did this on purpose. (What a great but also a very fcked up quest)

I only did it once. I usually step off at the dinner on replays

I just shoot him with Bill Jablonski now, can’t be bothered to do that ‘quest’ any more

    I hate this quest.

For the whole quest, i waited for the possibility to just shoot him to come back, and it never came back. So i just nailed him and left him alone when he asked me to stay by his side, but it still bother me that he got to have his braindance registered. I wish there was a possibility to cut the electricity or something like that to make him realize that he was dying without achieving his goal.

Least favourite mission icl. I swear this one is so annoying to do, like idc about this weirdo murderer. Hes being conned into doing something blasphemous by some corpo cunt. Nah, shoot em all in the head immediately.

    That quest was hilarious.

It’s basically Disney bribes a judge to get David Berkowitz out of jail so he could play Shaggy in a Scooby-Doo movie and *genuinely* talk to his dog.

  6. There are lots of places you can’t do photo mode. Like, I wanted to do a shot while dancing with Alex, and couldn’t. Even in some places that aren’t ‘special’ scenes. I think it isn’t because of the nature of the content, but the technical nature of the scene.

As soon as I got what this nutjob’s plan was, I jumped off.

Too cringe for my taste. Don’t know if this alters the storyline thoug.

I accidentally pissed them off and they told me to get lost in the cafeteria. Can I still somehow complete it?

This quest was so disturbing that I didn’t do it on my subsequent runs.

I took the money at the diner as I just couldn’t be bothered with this quest.

i had no idea people didn’t like this quest it’s one of my favorites lol

Second run, I just looked all of them. (After getting in the car and then out of it the first time.)

Just nitpicking, but as someone who really enjoyed the philosophical debates with Johnny, I hated that he never shows up or comments on this after the restaurant. Like really dude, you have no comment on the crucifix?

  14. sludgezone

I wish I woulda just killed these guys at the beginning, boring ass long quest with a self righteous pretentious storyline lol

the quest touched a nerve, but I feel it should have been overall more meaningful in the story. I just do what Wakako paid me to do now. She’s very satisfied when you do this and pays you well.

I finally decided to do this quest again this last playthrough and the game was actually trying to stop me. Warning, this is really long and detailed because this took place over the span of 30+ minutes.

    My first attempt:
A random car ran into the side of the truck during the chase, crashing me into some pedestrians, getting me the cops and failing the mission.

    Second attempt:
Similar thing, but this time the pedestrian got stuck IN the truck (like in the truck bed, I was hauling him around) and he eventually died when we were just about to get out of the truck. Mission fail. So out of curiosity, and a tinge of rage, I tried following the truck until it reaches what would have been it’s final destination just 30-40 yards away.

Well, the quest attempted to re-continue, it UN-failed, but the cop car and semi truck despawned ahead of us, and bill’s truck went further than it usually does. I still even had the prompt to ‘get out’ of the truck and follow him despite not being in the truck.
I pressed this without thinking, my character did the animation *into the ground* and I fell through the earth.

I never got teleported back up like is supposed to happen, and I slowly fell to the bottom of the map, 16.5km underneath it, where the hud started to glitch out and act like I was both at the top and bottom of the world. I’ve fell beneath the map before (many times, 1.0 player here) but NEVER had this happen.

Fun fact, there’s a rocket just chilling a few kilometers below the map for some reason.

Third attempt, I loaded the save I made after failing, and this time the cop stayed loaded in, but when Bill got out of the car to shoot the dude, he was WAY too close to the cop (his truck parked literally right next to the cop car), and for some reason after the cop killed Bill, he immediately aggroed onto me and started shooting me, giving me the cops, failing the mission, blah blah. The only notable thing after this was that after I killed the cop, I could actually kill the inmate and the corpo BD lady, although they didn’t go limp in the car and kept playing animations.

At this point I was more than willing to let the mission slide, but the fourth attempt FINALLY worked correctly without any bugs or glitches. I’ve never had a mission fail to play out as intended as much as this one, it was kind of hilarious.

TL:DR; this mission is mediocre and badly programmed too, just don’t do it again after the first time lol

That dude fucking irritates the hell out of me and the quest is fairly boring despite it being a man having himself crucified for entertainment. Johnny saying this gonk’s a true rebel made me roll my eyes. He’s creating profit for the studios to feel better about his actions. Nothing rebellious there.

  18. Potential-Party3345

MAN THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU LET THEM PUT HIM ON THE CROSS? now I gotta reload my save.

  19. Worried-Necessary219

I hate this quest. I kill the guy as soon as he comes out the vehicle.

  20. elegantturtles

I honestly just kill him the moment he exists the vehicle now after the husband gets shot

I think it’s an interesting quest? But it’s kind two fold for me: I’m cool with being talked down by people when it comes to killing, but perhaps not from a murderer. And if I do get talked down, I let a murderer get an artistic send off and a gross media company get their views.

Feels better for me to just do the job.

  21. I don’t get the hate honestly, and I hate religion with a passion. This is one of the most genuine quests in a city filled with plastic faces and fake meat, yeah he’s a fucked up dude and a criminal, you yourself see the grief he brought a family, but either he’s so deluded into thinking there’s salvation and obsessed with giving his death and existence some meaning (which is hilarious) or he’s genuinely looking to make a statement and make something of his inevitable death, I can recognize how pointless that is in a world so used to gore and massacre and ‘mindless consumerism’, but I can also respect the fact that he’s made his choices, and decided that facing death with a straight face and his faith is what he’s gonna do.

I just think it’s a quest which forces you to show some empathy and think about uncomfortable stuff and how much of your own beliefs you are actually gonna go through with.

  22. I still feel bad for the guy who hired me. I tried to save him every way.
