That takes skill. AM5 and other LGA sockets are ezmode to trash, but this one… brute force was applied.

Wouldn’t that technically work fine? The rubber bit is only guiding the pins into the contacts but since they’re both exact size don’t you technically only need two guides?
If two pins touch the contacts, all of them will.
Still not ideal but it should work fine.

Thanks for this, always wanted to know what the inside of a socket looked like. Also where the screeching sound -the bent pins on my 5800x made while closing the socket- came from. Now I have hope they are still attached to the cpu after all!
