  1. im always hyped for operations when we get like 5 new maps, was so much fun to grind the 2-3 maps that i enjoy, sadly only one of my mates has the same mindset and enjoys new maps, most of the community really is stubborn regarding new maps.
personally i just start to play them as early as possible, this way i wont fall behind and have a hard time starting it later when other peopl know how to play it
recently my mates opened up to ancient, after how long has it been in map pool? Opening up =!= liking it, it's okay if it pops in queue/premier every once in a while

  2. Ive played some 10 mans on it. I agree with Launders it may not be literally large but it just feels large. Even larger than Overpass. And i dont know if i truly liked the gameflow. But maybe after some more tries itll be better once my feel and knowledge solidify. I just want brand new maps. Old maps are cool. New maps are cooler.

  3. This was really good. FMPONE is really interesting to listen to. Interesting to hear him talk about Subzero and Crown.

  4. Fmpone new maps dont become popular because they are phisically imbalance in mind but look 4 lane

  5. I still think A needs mayor layout changes. It needs to be more that just a mirrowed A bombsite of Dust2.

  6. Really interesting interview, would be amazing if you could do that with other maps some day

  7. Your content has been fire lately, this video especially is such good insight, and unique aswell thank you!

Still missing the og demo reviews tho. I know a certain player for whom it would be worth resurrecting it for, don't you think?! πŸ˜‰

  8. Bro what phase gamma doppler is your knife? Super clean

Also, general thoughts on how to make cobblestone a pro-ready map?

  9. They should use the standard MM game mode to test new maps, since a lot of people are treating it as 5v5 casual now and prem for actual comp gameplay

  10. I think one of the problems with new maps not being accepted, is that they are often just added to the map pool without any warning. Imoa better system would be to announce that a map will be added to comp pool in X weeks. They could promote the map in lobbies and add some incentive to play the new map.

  11. Played some 10 mans on this map, very fun but like you already touched upon in this video: b rush and hold/lurk mid to kill the ct rotators is way too strong.

  12. Just played a game where 4 people were spamming racist bigotry from the start. Everyone in the server but me was blatantly hacking, and silliest of all, 5 people got forcekicked from too much team damage. Safe to say CS in Australia is completely dead

  13. The map acceptance thing from the both of you was spot on. Engage was my favorite of these potential maps, but CS fans seem to just love the classics until its forced on them. I honestly think CS would feel so great with a rotating map pool, using Premier as a competitive way to play the map pool, and competitive as a way to introduce new maps and keep rotated out maps (as well as currently in the pool maps) to play.

  14. always liked maps where retakes were doable even when in a disadvantage, let me play the whole round and not go sit in a corner!

  15. I really appreciate this vid, Lau. As someone with a huge interested in CS map design and theory, there simply isn't enough content out there talking about the process behind making them. Would absolutely love to see more in the future.

  16. Seems nuts to me if Valve doesn't incorporate community maps in the active group in the future when they have given the community every chance to thrive with the new tools.

  17. The colours in this map are just beautiful I think B site looks a little tight I guess we'll see how it plays out
