Temps are down by 2-3 degrees on Unigine and it’s miles quieter. I wouldn’t recommend this on a newer card but if you have something a few years old and out of warranty probably couldn’t hurt.
Someone help me figure out a more elegant way to secure the fans to this thing.

Why not RMA? I have the same card and just RMAd for the same reason. Sounds like a goddamn leaf blower.
You could 3d print a shroud you paid someone to design or designed it yourself
Are the temps pretty good with this setup?
i would like to see a photo from the side
I honestly want a 4090 that’s just the board, the heat sink with incorporated brackets for 3 120mm fans and a fan header.
You should start your own brand.
Now try to return it like that
Looks like an elegant enough solution to your problem. Unless the zip ties melt / smoke, I say slap in it and move on.
I kind of wish they made them with heatsinks only so i can do stuff like that from the start and make my favourite 5 slot fat cards.
Hmm i was told pny was a quiet card?
zipties work, till they dont. but hey, it works!
What happens to the temps if you remove the little fan in the middle? I bet it’s much more silent with just the two large ones.
Pny is shit. Why would you buy that chinese crap
🤦🤦 people don’t know what headphones are I guess
It’s a shame they fucked up their 4080 super cooler. The normal 4080 from PNY is incredibly quiet: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/pny-geforce-rtx-4080-verto-epic-x-rgb-oc/37.html
Sorry, but how bad is the PNY 4080s? I have a bottom-shelf Gigabyte 4080 and that thing has such an overspecced cooler that the fans are off half of the time, even when I’m rendering at 100% GPU usage.
