The path I went down in phantom liberty lead me to this. V no longer able to handle implants. His old life completely over. Hit deep. Not how I wanted my character to end up.
Most of his friends gone or flat out abandoned him
Has to pray that nobody ever recognizes him and that he’s alive. Or every gang or family-member of a victim will put an assassination gig out on him
Meanwhile he gave a mutilated slave back to her monster of an owner. And now the owner will continue to break international law and risk the fall of humanity because SoMi is kind of a cheat code for her.
A high price for a crappy result.
Marbles_2022
yeah to me, this one is almost as bad as the devil ending. I mean >!we arent selling our soul to a corporation!<, but it feels shitty af. Also >!I feel like Panam would’ve taken the call!<, just my 2 cents.

This ending let’s V still live with the option to either go work for the FIA (I’m thinking either in logistics or as an instructor), leave altogether and see the wider world first-hand, or return to NC and set up as a fixer. At least no one gets zeroed raiding Arasak Tower, and Arasaka loses its stranglehold on the city.
SFWxMadHatter
There are no good endings, only less shit ones.
Personally, I felt this was one of the better outcomes, although it is depressing. You’re alive, you have a standing offer to go work with Reed, a chance to move on and do something new yourself.
WeirdManOnMountain
We got what we asked for: the Monkey Paw provided, and all we can do is sit and stare at our screens not realizing what we actually did.
LUNATIC_LEMMING
Depending on your v, this could be a good ending.
I always saw the big bang, making it big and leaving a mark, that was Jackies dream.
My V just wanted to make money, leave night city and live.
My V started with no implants, ending with no implants is no biggy. a medal and a cushy job at the fia (as the hero that saved the president no less)? sign me right the fuck up.
GuessingIvy
did this my second ending on purpose, shattered my heart like 4 different times
>! johnny was wiped for nothing. judy is married. panam hates your guts and mitch tells you to never call again. Kerry sold out. V is not “allowed” in their own home town district. Misty wearing Jack’s jacket but looking incredible.. !<
absolutely legendary writers

Watchu mean dawg this is the best ending, V actually gets live fuck the friends

When you see misty oh my lord THE TEARS FROM MY EYES COULD NOT BE STOPPED.

I loved this ending, I think sometimes people need to see past the ‘but my vidya character was so kewl!’ And actually look at what the endings trying to say
At the final scene, when V gets bumped, its so important, how many NPC’s did you bump, smash past as V while you were speeding through NC, V slips back into the crowd, but his life isnt over, its just changing, he can become a fixer, a gunstore owner, a ripper he can do whatever he wants, this is the only ending where he gets his life back
Quiet life, or blaze of glory? Well we’ve seen how the blaze of glory ends, jackie dead in the back of a taxi and dex with his head full of lead in the landfill
People need to up their media literacy hating on this ending
GlumCardiologist3
I dissgree for me This one is one of the better outcomes for V in my opinion, yep he lose a lot but also we tend to forget that he is alive and its a new beggining for him, he can be whatever he want now…
RNB_III
And Panam wants nothing to do with you.
FUCK THIS ENDING!!!
Atlas88-
I think this is honestly the best ending, with don’t fear the reaper being runner up.
Melokhy
This ending feels definitely artificially bad, to me.
V gone for 2 month, but last 2 years? Meh. Reed could pay a call to Vik or anyone…
Implant incapacity is ok, but all friends gone sounds non natural.

I felt this ending was kinda dumb after maxing out the game because I had like 3 million Eddies on hand. Time to retire anyway.
In general, I felt like too many endings glorified leaving Night City. Weird reactionary antiurban vibe. Life is not better in the desert, especially if Panam is still constantly blowing a gasket.
probablyasummons
I really wish there was an option to accept Reeds offer to stay at Langley instead of going back.

Man I just finished the dlc and I’m still mad. I went the songbird route but it’s more like the no content route
Never speak/ resolve/ anything with myers
Never see Alex again
Yet to get any sort of message from Song (praying there’s something don’t spoil and stifle my excitement plz)
No blackwall hacking shit
No Erebus
While story wise, it’s what I want my “canon” V to do, it’s left a somewhat bitter taste in my mouth
Also apparently taking reeds side will let me learn more abt so mi and what really happened. Which suck I didn’t get any of that either
I wondered why the marketed Solomon reed so hard, and now I understand. They didn’t want you picking songbirds side. Ever.
ForeverNick1
I refuse to accept that V can’t become a merc again. You can literally remove the OS and only run kiroshi optics and beat Smasher. Hell you could probably do it with no perks even. I hate how it just implies V’s life is over. All it takes is some connections and V can have the tech to be able to do *most* gigs.

Agreed, horrible ending, don’t fear the reaper all the way

They definitely push this ending hard.
