You guys who are engaging with helldiver 2 for thr first time, watch a few YouTube videos about the gameplay.
Servers suck right now because of the unexpected viral success and that’s sucking up a lot of attention but holy shit—these devs made a GAME first and got the money after. It’s so clear when you play that they didn’t develop a way to bleed you dry first and plan to drop content enough to ‘keep you engaged’. It reminded me of what I actually wanted out of COD and haven’t gotten. Helldiver is like what you wanted out of this edition of zombies and didn’t get. It’s Arcade-y, easy to learn, visually interesting, and not overly grindy.
It seems like with the massive unexpected loads of players buying it they’ll have so much more to offer too beyond some good communication. Thrilled to finally realize the bar was so low and I was ok with it.
