Me personally I feel that this a perfect setup. It’s not monotone yet simplistic in functionality. Very cleanly organized and everything on the desk serves it’s own purpose. I like the fact that everything isn’t “one color” to match everything else. The various colors tend to flow easily as you move your eye from right to left on the picture (which I think is why some people thing this is an AI generated picture). As to your “what’s wrong with my setup” question, the only thing that I would change is perhaps a bigger monitor to fill some of the space between the top of the existing monitor and the shelf on the wall. That would “fill in” some of the gap you see on the back wall when looking center of the table. Other than that, great work!

A gold lamp with a warmer tone bulb would make it much more cozy with the wood and green
Think you have done a great job with your setup, colours are great and it looks clean. The only thing I would change is your chair, gaming chairs can really f up your back.
