i would like to put my pc down on the left shelf to generate more space up top but i’m not sure if that is a safe place to put my pc. i tried building the desk with the open shelf on the right side so i could have it next to the wall where i wouldn’t have to worry about it but sadly the cheap amazon desk did not have that functionality. my main issue is im worried about the nightstand possibly falling over and then damaging my baby or like something hitting it since its so close to the floor.

It doesn’t look like it can handle the weight of a PC. 🤔

  2. Should be fine, although I would advise against the pirouette while moving from A to B.

It’s that stoned paranoia kicking in. You’ll be fine, unless you knock your rig over.

  4. Poupalata

Not safe at all. It will feel devalued and develop depression, ultimately throttle in sorrow and overheat.

Keep your drinks and liquids away from that side of the desk/table, and make sure that shelf is stable enough to handle the weight. On those two points, you should be fine. Try not to leave the window open when it’s raining, I guess? 😉

Completely safe. My pc is on a similar stand to make room for more desk space and no issues at all

  7. Y ur arrow whimsical like that? (Putting the PC down there is fine)

  8. YoungInoue

You’re good, I’m a firm believer that the PC shouldn’t be on the desk anyways. Lots of wasted space.

  9. FrozenOnPluto

PCs have been floorbeasts for like 40 years my man, no worries

  10. ArticLOL

I would add some bar under, just to be safe

It’s fine as long it’s off the carpet. The main concern would be how much weight can that thin piece of board on pegs hold up.

Have you considered moving the nightstand on the right hand side of the desk, close to the wall) or are you worried that your desk will be too much in front of the window? I think it may work well.

Nothings gonna hurt it. Even if the night stand falls against it.

  14. Ironhorse75

If you’re afraid of it collapsing, cut a 2×4 block and shove it under there.

  15. Feline-Appreciater

Yes its fine but (i had the same desk), my pc case was too wide. Use a tape measure before you get too crazy

  16. itsstatefarm

If you’re a dude, get ready for ball soup and swamp ass – that gaming pc is gonna put out some heat and its gonna get trapped under your desk

    Its functional though

I just love the arrow’s unnecessary loop 😂

  18. tommyland666

You should probably stop having your drinks there after you move it

  19. Good-Huckleberry-479

You just want to make sure it has the room to let the hot air vent properly. As long as the airflow is good you should be fine.

  20. biiigmood

Yeah just don’t put it directly on the carpet

  21. trickldowncompressr

Why would your night stand fall over?

  22. itsomeoneperson

that’s what its there for. i keep mine tucked under my desk its quieter & more desk room

  23. IAMAmexiCANama

I have mine in a similar position. Love it down there!

  24. ImFromDaBurghNat

If your bong is that gross and you’re hitting it your PC is breathing that shit in too so put it wherever you want

  25. SlipperyRavine

If you wanted to show off your PC then putting it on the floor may not be the best way, otherwise it would be totally fine in terms of saving desk space (which is more of a priority). Just make sure that it can hold your machine.

  26. MattyKatos

It could cause a tear in space time. Be careful.

  27. the_gamer_98

Sucks for the airflow of the psu if you put ist on carpet. Other than that should be fine

  28. PrimitiveThoughts

You can always turn your desk around to a command position and still have your computer against the wall down there.

  29. DarkWingDuck4201

Yeah long as it’s off the carpet a few inches which it looks like it is . Extra points for having dabs rig in pic

  30. Itzamedave

I’ve always had PCs under desk. I would just never put one directly on the floor

  31. Nhojj_Whyte

That appears to be exactly what that shelf space was designed for, so go for it!

  32. Futonpimp

before you kids stuck them on the desk, us old people put our towers on the floor. Then once a year we would go out to the garage with an air compressor and just blow the shit out of it.

Sticking it on that little shelf is no problem at all it will be fine

  33. oh_hey_yamez

Should be good. I would recommend getting used to putting your drinks elsewhere though.

  34. Mental-Caterpillar-5

Drugs may alter your perception for the consistency in addiction may leave you baffled, only when it is too late.

  35. Hekkynnn

It should be just fine. If it sags then remove the shelf if you can and just let it sit on the carpet floor. Ya I know most of you MPCR folks will be LIKE NO! But I have had my pc next to my desk on my carpet floor for a few years and haven’t had a single issue at all except for dust lol.

  36. NeckbeardWarrior420

Need more space for the other rig I see

  37. Rubrassackwards

No idea about moving the PC but; DUDE clean your bong 🤢

  38. I wonder what that shelf is there for? Maybe it is made specially for a PC, because it may just be a PC desk you have there. Just maybe.
I would move the drinks though.

Depends on whether rain comes into the house via the window and if you’re in a habit of leaving the window open normally.
