opening youtube on phone and then getting dual 15 second ad

  1. Solution: remove the YouTube app, get Firefox, add the unlock origin extension, sign in on the YT website, watch videos without the ridiculous bombardment of ads. Really, this wouldn’t be necessary if yt hadn’t gotten so greedy.

Footnote: RIP if you have an iOS device because this won’t work and, really, git gud.

What really annoys me is paying for YouTube premium ; watching something streamed to the TV with my wife, then she says “let me put this on”, so she streams and bam, advertisements.

Why TF is it not a household account?

  4. Firefox Focus browser for youtube if you’re on IOS. On Android, the solutions others have mentioned.

If on iOS, get brave browser from reg App Store. I’ve been running on iOS (I use Firefox on my PC) for years and never have YouTube adds.

I swear Youtube KNOWS if your Google account uses an adblocker elsewhere… Anytime I use Youtube on my phone, it’s a guarantee: 2 ads per video (music videos included).

No excuse tbh. I watch ad free for free on revanced and on iphone you can sideload.

  11. i just pay for yt premium and it works great, dont have to use an inferior browser with a speciifc extension

Download Brave. Use that for YouTube and never see an ad ever again.

  13. Youtube is the only video streaming app worth the money.
