I got it a while back for PS5 and haven’t gotten around to it yet. It was only $18 new so i figured I should be able to get my money’s worth.

I’ve heard it said that Spiders, the developer, is better at coming up with concepts as opposed to developing games.
It has a cool aesthetic and premise, and it IS fun overall, but it does lack polish and has a lot of rough edges. If you have to choose between this and Lies of P, then pick Lies of P.

Ah yes, android French Revolution dark souls. It’s a great idea on paper, but I think the execution left something to be desired.

This game is a super solid 7/10. Not quite as good as Lies of P and a bit janky. But as far as AA games go, it’s actually really solid.
Also it’s a tad on the easy side for a Soulslike, but it has its moments.

This is actually a good souls like game. Went in blind and beat it a couple days ago. The gameplay mechanics are kinda janky and I ran into some bugs but it’s definitely fun and challenging at some points.

Gonna be honest, that is one of the most unappealing characters I’ve ever seen. The game doesnt look terrible but I wont ever play it simply because that character design is so hideous.

I really dislike the lack of accurate descriptions of weapons and abilities. I’m finding it very hard to understand how the devs want me to play and the starting weapon I picked doesn’t feel good to use at all, but I also had no idea it would be a big fuckoff hammer when I picked it as it only said it had a block special ability…

I hear it’s horrible on pc performance-wise (stutters, irrelevant which hardware) and has never received a fix for that. PS5 is said to run well enough. If someone is looking for a truly different experience in the vein of soulslikes, I highly recommend Lies of P, easily a 9/10. and that’s coming from someone who dislikes all other soulslikes and Fromsoft games apart from bloodborne (which sadly still is garbage in a technical sense)

I actually really like this game. I would recommend this as the starting point for anyone wanting to get into the souls style of games as this is the easiest of them all.
However I would say not to support the DLC even if you like the game.
It was finished content locked and time gated behind a deluxe edition paywall.
On PS5 I was able to access the DLC area before the official release. It had the finished level, enemy placement, item placement, boss. Had a key to a previous area in the base game to unlock a new area with a DLC weapon that was also finished and able to be collected.
Walling off part of the original development to upsell a deluxe edition is not the type of DLC that should be supported in my opinion.
