I was wondering if you could finish the game without owning any vehicles in the game. Turns out that no matter what you do, by the end of Life During Wartime (and Tapeworm) you’re given Scorpion’s Apollo no matter what you do. Even if you betray and leave Panam and Mitch leaving them behind, skipping the interaction with Kang Tao at the AV crash site and head for the Hellman at the gas station, you still will see the bike appear at the garage door for you to use. To be honest that’s doesn’t make sense that Aldecaldos would give the property of their dead member to someone who left them.
Any other vehicle in the game would be easy to avoid owning of.
V’s starter car, Archer Hella? – Just never touch it at the H10 megabuilding garage.
Jackie’s Arch? – Don’t attend the ofrenda.
Tanishi T400 that Mr. Hands gifts us? – Avoid the Dogtown.
Jonny’s Porsche? – Kill Grayson and leave the port.
I think all of the other ones are pretty easy to avoid, but only the Scorpion’s Apollo is unavoidable, no matter which ending you would head for.
Wonder what’s up with that one bike? I mean, is it simply an oversight from the devs? Do you think it worth fixing, so the Aldecaldos won’t be gifting you the bike unless you’re in a good relationship with them?

Not worth “fixing”. Also, even the cars you don’t touch are still yours, so that’s multiple vehicles you’re “stuck” with.
Can’t you finish the game without playing the aldecaldos arc ?
I would say they never thought about someone wanting to complete the game without having any vehicles being a thing. I get why it bugs you though as I have a DLC pre-order bonus R-7 that I wish I could choose if I own it or not in my saves lol.

You still technically own it.
It’s pretty slow compared with Jackie’s bike
Also the only bike in the game that seems it would be a very easy fix to add a pillion seat. Aready has grab handles and what seem like spots to attach foot pegs.
Can imagine blatting through NC with flaming crotch man hanging on for dear life screaming behind V.
You still own the Hella.
You get Jackie’s bike even without attending the ofrenda
It’s the slowest bike in the game save for the Cops bikes
Depends on your definition of “Finish”

* If you mean “reach an ending” then you can avoid most gift cars.
* You can reach The Devil ending and the Rogue ending and the Tower ending without helping rescue Saul or do any gigs that reward you a car.
* If you mean “100% the game then no
* Some minor quests and gigs give you a car as a reward
* And it will DO that by giving you **ANOTHER** gig where the task is *”go and collect your reward”*
* So if “finish” means completing everything, then you’ll have to go collect your reward. And thus own some more cars.
