We were doing the main Easter egg on voyage of despair, on the elemental lockdown step. My friend to the right died normally, and so did my other friend on my left. I died instantly when there was nothing around me, even if there was a zombie behind me, I have a shield and you can see my full health bar go down in a split-second. Any ideas?

The bo4 council decided your fate, and it does that some people more than others. As far as I can see from this clip, it’s one of many bugs that cross your fingers to not get before each ee run
This is a stretch, but I think what happened was, when your teammate downed, the blight father used his tongue grapple attack to pull you, and you just happened to go over your downed teammate when he did that so it killed you. Does similar stuff in the older zombies games.
Edit: From what I can see, doesn’t look like you got grappled, just instantly downed. Honestly, no clue, definitely seems like a bug
