Not the first time I’ve seen posts like that, nor it will be the last… Best explanation for that that i’ve seen, though, is that V was in counter-intel department. And thus learned how to blend into any crowd if necessary. Got tossed out of the comfy(?) office? Time to get into full-on merc mode, occasionally dropping your knowledge about corporate methods here and there. So mercenary behaviour is a façade that becomes a face after a while.

I mean, tbh all three life paths end up being a streetkid after the opening scene. It’s the only way they’d be willing to stay in the city and become a merc.

Corpo V would be a social chameleon. Don’t forget that a 6 month timeskip happens between the end of the intro and the game proper.
Corpo V also has more conversation options than any of the other two life paths.

I expect some people would try to explain this with some contrived in world reasoning.
The simple truth is, this is due to the fact that life paths don’t matter at all in CP77 save for some very minor details. Much like the Spacer, Earthborn, Colonist in Mass Effect.
Too bad they marketed this as a feature that would make your character feel distinct.

Bitch had sushi with REAL fish on the reg. There’s not much that’s more silver spoon than that in the Cyberpunk universe.
