What’s bad is that a lot of company machines are just like this.
My old employer “has a guy” that builds them what they need. I snooped more than I probably should’ve and found out the guy was literally ordering the bare minimum from Dell and charging double for it.
Which meant my ex-boss was paying at least 4x the value. His position? Head of IT.

The thing is about 15 years old now. Not worth putting any time or effort into it. The PSU you’re planning on putting in here is probably worth more than the entire build itself.

Please don’t. It looks like a 15 year old core 2 quad. The ATI Radeon GPU in there is slower than the graphics processor on your phone. USB isn’t even 3.0.
The cheapest new desktop core i3 would blow that computer away.
These things are a dime a dozen at garage sales for $20.

Knew it was a Dell cuz the heatsink is identical to that off of my PowerEdge T110 ii. That Optiplex would work well as some storage

Ah the good ole days of the PSU being at the top of the case, i would probably repurpose the case for an old looking modern build and keep the PSU at the top n just upgrade it to a 1kw PSU.
