Even the Japan PSP release wasn’t until 2004. This is a time traveller. The OG PSP and rev 2000 and 3000 had chrome accents on the UMD drive. I think the late almost 2010ish Street model was a black back.
Look at the color of the seats – red. The logo on his hat looks like a trident when you look at it laying down in bed with one eye closed- Mephisto confirmed for the next Spiderman movie to bring back Aunt May.

So the PSP and the PSP Go both had identifiable branding on the back that you don’t see here. That said, the top bar *does* look correct for the PSP (I say this while holding my PSP). So hear me out; Sony announced last year that it is reviving the PSP, so what this *could* be is an attempt at an easter egg/viral marketing product placement.
