The mask is present on all Outbreak maps to trigger a ritual site in ~~Duga~~Zoo. The site can then be used to activate the reward for completing every main quest in the game. You unlock some emblems, plus free rarity upgrades for your starting gun based on how many quests you have finished (up to Epic rarity for all quests).
