Kind of refreshing honestly. Brings me back to the days of Guild Wars 1 reminding players to take breaks, and Guild Wars 2 being designed for people to leave and come back.

I’m just taking a break from Palworld since it kept overheating my Deck. So… Task failed successfully?

Guys it’s an early access game – it’s a blast and it was a truly unique experience. But let’s not pretend the devs don’t have a lot of work to do and stuff to add. You’re not in a relationship with a game – you play it when it’s fun. Then you play something else. It doesn’t mean you’re cheating on Palworld or not supporting the devs. I think the most supportive thing you can do is to enjoy the game when it’s fun, and when you get bored to play something else and let the devs work on it for a bit.
I played with a group of 3 and for about 2 weeks we did nothing but Palworld. We got through most of the content and have been taking a break. Love the game. Grateful for the opportunity to try it out. But I won’t become bitter because there’s not 6+ months of content in an early access game. Give them some room.

FF14 says this as well. Play other games nerds.

“By prioritizing the well-being of its community and delivering quality updates at their own pace, Palworld sets a precedent for sustainable gaming experiences in an ever-changing landscape.”
Lol. Them some fancy words. Let’s be real here. These companies just haven’t yet found a way to develop content as fast as gamers can consume it. Once they do, all talk about well-being and quality will go out of the window.

Comments on any new game online these days are “in a month or two players will drop and it will be dead” you mean people played it had a blast and got their monies worth? Also doesn’t account for large updates bringing players back lol. Modern gamers are fucking weird man

World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery seems like it’s doing the same. Long phases, plenty of time between them, and I think the lead developer also said something like “you know, it’s ok if you play other games”.

I definitely got more.that 20 quids worth of.gun from collecting every pal, beating every tower.and making everything there is to make.
I’d probably have burnt myself out if I tried to get perfect pals or something but I’ll likely come back when they’ve done a.bunch of updates.

Fuckin Japanese devs always telling gamers to take breaks. I didn’t buy 20 cases of gamer diapers to take breaks!

It’s stupid how ppl think if ppl aren’t playing a game 40 hours a week for years, it’s a dead game.
There’s nothing wrong with playing a game for a while, getting your fun and playing something else, or coming back to it later. Alot of ppl are just addicted thro sunk cause fallacy and that’s not good either
I see it as why some of these big budget live service games fail. They want ppl playing them all the time like league of legends etc but the games they put out aren’t good enough and often forcing live service into something that shouldn’t be live service

I swear Fortnite ruined what early access means for a game

Palwords really being everything Nintendo isn’t. But he’s dead on, you don’t need to live in a game constantly. Shop around, come back if you like but see what else is out there

Gaming would be a lot more fun if everyone had this mentality. Not just developers.
