Some tips for new players (though this may come across as cheating):
– You do not have to follow the expedition steps in the order they appear.
– Try not to sell any of the rewards you get for units. The rewards will be useful later on completing the later steps. Unless they are Trade Goods, then you can sell.
– Scan ALL creatures you see. If you can’t find the last one on your first planet hop to the next and continue scanning. This is so you complete the expedition milestone and get the Haz-Mat gauntlets.
– Correction: You get the Haz-Mat plans. You will have to craft it with resources. It’s easy just additional step. Build your first base, I recommend on first planet. Building first base will get you the Copper needed to refine into Chromatic Metal as reward. Sodium Nitrate is refined from Sodium which is plentiful on first planet.
– When you get Hazmat installed, go to the Space Station. Head to the teleporter (it’s a circular blue swirly device). Look for other players bases. Players tend to name their bases beside important points of interest/resources/ships/multitools. Look for bases that have Nip Nip in their name.
– Go to the base and collect the Nip Nip. Travel back to the Space Station (preferably through a teleporter if the base has one) and sell them.
– If you keep doing this you will now have enough units to just buy resources off the Trade Post terminals, trivializing much of the tedious early grind.
Personally this game is so much more fun once that initial resource grind is done and you can just buy what you need and do what you want.

I wish they just added ship customization. That’s literally the only thing keeping me from playing. I don’t want to sit around outposts and pray to the space gods i get a good looking ship. Starfield did this feature really well.

My only problem with no mans sky is that I always want to setup a base on a freighter but the jump fuel is just so expensive

So…calling this update Omega and I feel like I remember HG announced a new upcoming project recently…they’ve gotta be done or almost done updating this game, right?
