They already have a third enemy faction and mechs waiting in the wings.

Holy shit that’s a first.

Nice to hear some good news and see someone in the gaming industry getting a decent win. It has all been a bit doom and gloom lately with layoffs etc, congrats to all involved.

I feel like they weren’t expecting the game to do so well. This is a good thing. The game is super fun

Honestly, didn’t see this success coming. Well earned win in these tough times. Game’s a blast!

They’ve already said that they’ll be adding more factions in the future. I’d love to see them work with So y and make some playstation IP planets/enemies.
Let’s get the Helghast from Killzone. Let’s get a planet full of robot Dinosaurs from Horizon. Hell, they could do a Destiny enemy faction.

I hope Sony lets them expand to Xbox man. This game looks so fun and I don’t play on my computer enough to upgrade it to be able to play this

I feel like all game companies with very successful games should do this

Great! Now ditch GameGuard!

Is this game worth it? I’ve been seeing clips on insta all day. Looks like it could be fun but i know nothing about it

It’s probably more staff to fix all the issues and networking. They’ve been fixing some bugs here and there but there’s still tonnes to go and many major ones like armour being broken.

So this, Palworld and Baldurs Gate 3 are all big bangers done by smaller companies then most AAA studios who are bitching about “It hawd to make bidga gwames”…….
Look this isn’t a jab at any studio specifically and I have the feeling the games fail due to poor management mainly. Honestly I was wanting to do an AMA where developers could shed some light on what led to the failure of the games they worked on. It might be good for the gaming industry as a whole. I know some gamers can go way overboard attacking developers online when a game they were waiting for fails. There are obviously a bunch of reasons it can happen but it would be a good discussion

Awesome news, i remember when Risk of Rain 2 launched and it exploded beyond their wildest dreams, yet they practically did nothing with that success and just stuck to an extremely slow roadmap that even had one of the features delayed if i recall
I think a counter argument to my disappointment was that it’s hard to get someone in to the ropes and follow their vision and work practices, like code and such. They also did end up looking for hire later, but still. I was really sad about the games’ progress because i expected much more given the success. Hope to see Helldivers deliver

I’ve heard some good things about HellDivers 2, but it’s all in the context of co-op, is it good as a solo player?
vegsmashed
Give me an EDF crossover already.
07ShadowGuard
I was wondering if I should get this. Hearing that news makes me pretty confident that they are actually going to be putting effort into the game, count me in!

I’m so happy this team is having so much success. This game is really, really well made and they deserve the recognition they’re getting. I’ve hated almost every MP game I’ve played in the last five years, and it feels amazing to sense that joy I used to get from OG Black Ops.
AmericanKamikaze
I almost bought it but was held back by all the bad reviews of matchmaking. For a multiplayer not having solid or even functional matchmaking is key. I can wait.
HamSlammy
I cant even play it. Keeps crashing on PC
Suplex-Indego
The whole industry laying people off, Palworld and Helldiver devs are going to get some premium talent, things couldn’t be better for these indi devs.
pitter_patter_11
Maybe they can help get the matchmaking to work properly.

Now keep in mind. This won’t make for immediate content being created. This will mean in 6+ months you will see the effect of this hiring.
