You’d think a large grocery chain could afford to at least use software for Linux instead of having all their self checkouts use windows 7… It’s almost concerning, considering these machines scan credit cards.

I used to work as a manager at a dollar general there whole check out and self check out systems are ran by Linux. They would constantly go down around 9 times per day. Sometimes all of them going down at the same time
The worst part about it is they would refuse to turn these systems off even at night because sometimes people come at night to do something to the systems. So they would run them 24/7 until they crash through the day perfect place to work!
