One of the reasons i LOVED physics. I enjoy both PCs/gaming and cars/motorcycles as hobbies, and a deep understanding of physics gives me a VERY deep knowledge/understanding of the inner workings of both. Like with computers for example, i understand how they work at a software level, driver, BIOS, hardware and then down to the actual electrical level (ie how the electrons move/interact as well as how the various parts, transistors, capacitors, etc work, both electrically and physically).
It REALLY helps especially when trying to diagnose problems/issues as i can imagine the hardware and how its working (or not working) along with the higher levels of operation.
