This does look more like a dead insect and less like a dead pixel.

If you want to, you can. I had dead pixels on every single monitor I ever bought & it just doesn’t bother me at all to have them. A couple of dead pixels don’t worth the hassle. Besides, there’s no guarantee that a replacement unit will arrive dead pixel free.

Some brands might be like “a few dead pixels is not an issue”, hope it’s not the case in your situation.

yes, also looks more like dirt between the layers.
if you don’t return it it will bother you every time you notice it. i have 5 different monitors and every single of them has a dead pixel and it makes me want to smash my head against a brick wall

I have one red pixel and am wondering the same thing

    I don’t think that’s a dead pixel btw

    If you can, yeah.

Don’t get your hopes up though. A lot of places won’t replace for one dead pixel. Sometimes they need a few or more.

100%, you didn’t pay for any pixels to not be working.

Not a dead pixel. But my monitor had a dead pixel when I got it. I did not return it and now I am not able to find the dead pixel anymore. So I couldnt care less anyway

  13. Definitely from experience your going hate everything just because of that one dead pixel

If the merchant doesn’t let you return it, check if the credit card that you used has any purchase protections.
