Works fine on my steamdeck.
I had to drop all the settings to super low but it works fine.
AwesomePossum_1
It’s a current gen only game. Why do people expect it to run well on a steam deck?
wicktus
The whole proton/Steam Deck thing needs serious work around anti-cheat, it’s not just Helldivers 2
For those who tested, in windows 11 (so something like dual boot) are the issues still there ? Just to know 100% where the problem lies, proton and/or something else
drmirage809
Old news by now. Valve is usually pretty on the ball with getting anti-cheat working on Proton and Helldivers 2 has already been fixed.
For Steam Deck and Linux gamers: set the game to run with Proton Hotfix or Experimental. I know it says “Experimental”, but it’s pretty stable and is safe to use as the default for most games.

**Article Published: 2 days ago** (a patch fixed the issue yesterday)
Edit: I told the mod team this news was outdated and they said posting outdated information is not against the rules lol:
>”I guess you should post a comment to that effect then eh?”
Edit: Despite being corrected, OP continues to spread this outdated info to other subs.

The devs or anyone never even said it would be compatible with Steam Deck…

Article is old. They rolled out a patch yesterday that let’s the game run on the Steam Deck and it runs fine if you don’t mind 30-60 fps on low graphics. People saying “well isn’t that bad?” Man, I’m just happy I can at least play the game without getting a PS5 or upgrading my laptop.

Two day old article posted by an OP that notoriously hates Sony and it is clearly being botted right now.
The game has been working on Steam Deck, they just had launch issues which have mostly been resolved

Does helldivers actually run decent on the SD

Looks like the OP just hates democracy and freedom.

The game works great its already fixed. Damn crap websites looking for clickbaits.

I won’t play any game with kernel level anti cheat. It’s ridiculous to trust a company with that level of access.

You wanted upvotes but instead you shall get downvotes for old news that’s now corrected.

Op why are you a douche?
Dapaaads
Can we remove this old outdated bad info articles like it still applies
DubaisCapybara
Hmm why does this need anti-cheat? Is it not a PvE game?
ParadoxGuard
Literally played it for hours last night during my overnight shift with my friends. Such old news.
HiCracked
Why is there an anti cheat in a pve game?
GloriaVictis101
Actually it isn’t.
ExO_o
saw some guy say how fun this game is
checked store page
saw DRM
put it on ignore
the classic cycle

Though this game does work, it’s such a shame that a few of my favorite games don’t run on Steam Deck only because of some anti cheat software
Cold_Technician_9173
Helldivers 2 is rolling out hourly patches so this problem has likely been patched or fixed.

Out of date article aside, holy shit the amount of pro gameguard shilling in this thread is unbelievable, and literally every comment asking why this PvE only game needs kernel level anticheat is downvoted into oblivion. Please just boycott this type of stuff before we lose even more privacy than we already have.

No it’s not

Pretty much a rootkit

Why does a coop game even need an anticheat? Warframe exists, it barely has one. Progression/MTX exploits being possible seem like a major implementation flaw.
