Two reasons I would want a PE Remake.
1. PE was great.
2. Might spark interest in a Vagrant Story Remake.

This game was a masterpiece that so few people have played. The opera fire is still my favorite opening for a game ever and the first rat and dogs yous see mutate in front of you is the most “shit just got real” moment I ever remember in a game.
The sequel is pretty good but it they do a remake, I really hope they use the active time turn based combat of the original, not the Resident Evil style combat of the sequel.
My wife and I loved this game so much when we were younger, we planned on naming our kids Aya and Eve if we had daughters one day. We had boys instead, probably for the best.
I am drooling over the idea of doing a Sears tower post game run with modern graphics.

I’d be happy with just a remaster, the FF7R didn’t really encapsulate the enjoyment I still get from playing the original for like the 10th time. They’d probably try to change it and the gameplay too much.

Man it’s crazy how just the mere mention of PE instantly gets Arise Within You playing I’m my head, such a memorable battle theme.

Just finished PE1 again a couple months ago, at least my 10th time beating it. A PE remaster or reboot would be one of my all time most anticipated games.
I still remember playing it at launch and it blew my mind as someone who loved Square and the RE series growing up.

PE remake with real time action would be dope. Imagine RE4 with RPG elements set in doom and gloomy NYC with fully customizable guns and abilities.
