One of the greatest JRPGs i have played, a timeless game.
You’re gunna hate me, I got this for $40 in the box, with the original art and books and everything. Granted this was, maybe 15-20 years ago? Not in mint condition or anything. God I miss the days of video games coming with a manual and cool little art things and stuff like that.

When i see this i think how would be nice if the big companies like Square Enix and Nintendo make new physical releases of old games so people can buy in a affordable price and have the original experience to play those game in the original format.
Or, at least release non playable copies if is too difficult or costly to remake old chips.
Are SNES cartridges worth much these days? I have a whole grocery bag of them with no way to test them. Our SNES got stolen by one of THOSE family members.
Looking at a lot of the repro carts and their sticker art has differences. The rating system is colored in and the monster is shaded a darker color.
Some people just take REAL good care of their stuff.
I’d have to go on SNES central and look at the chip set to confirm if fake or not but till then this just looks like a real clean original.
Yea…I’ll stick to emulators. I’ve bought most all of these games once before in my life, I’ve earned a free copy.
When our game store got bought out in 07-08′, all SNES games had to go and got this for .25 among a LOT of others at .25ea……I can’t belive the price on these now. Enjoy OP!

Damn, that much for just the cart? I love my classic games, but that makes my mind wonder how much my small box of SNES games is worth.
Oooookay so I’m going to dig through my box of games because I definitely got that game for $2 at a Value Village like 10 years ago. Probably my favourite game ever made…but I’m not a collector and I actually prefer playing it on my 3DS soooo I think it’s time to sell.
Years ago I had to sell my Super Nintendo that was in pristine condition that I had since I was five and a large lot of games including Chrono Trigger and other beloved titles to drum up enough money to not have to move back to my toxic small Midwestern hometown. Got $350 for the whole lot and it allowed me to hang in there and not move back. Fast forward to a wonderful life with a wonderful wife and new son far away from my horrible hometown. Worth it 🙂
I am playing through my copy right now! It’s so damn good. Never finished it as a kid. I bought my current copy off eBay for $100 a couple years back (cartridge only) and now I’m seeing it regularly go for $150-$200.
Greatest game.
I paid $70 for this when it came out. Considering inflation since then this price is reasonable. Video games these days are just super cheap.
