In game, V is essentially unstoppable, tearing through mechs, cyberpsychos and even the Chimera. Why is it that the Cerberus unit is an immediate run and hide threat? I feel like I missed an important piece of information that explains this.

There is none, the devs just wanted you to shit your pants 🙂

no but there is an ingame reason you didnt’t hear properly, all your cyberwares are fucked by blackwall AI’s, this is siad when you ride down the elevator

This motherfucker is designed to withstand extreme conditions such as radiation and It’s bulletproof too. The rouge AI controlling it has an edge since V can’t hack nor do any damage to it. I assume it has ICE installed in there too.

  4. UnhandMeException

It’s a deep space explorer piloted and modified by an elder god, for varying definitions of elder and god.

Experimental titanium vanadium kevlar composite plot armor.

  6. TheTwinFangs

Yes, first it’s an extreme condition robot piloted by a Blackwall AI

Second all your cybernetics are disabled

And finally the lore issues are actually the fact that you can even scratch the Chimera, makes zero sense.

Same for Cyberpsychos that are made of paper in this game or even Smasher that 99% of your arsenal shouldn’t even make him notice that you’re shooting at him.

So yeah, the lore problem isn’t really the bot, it’s everything else

Smasher should have been bulletproof except specific spots in the first place

The Chimera fight should’ve been just creating an openning to flee

And don’t even get me started on the Maxtac squad that pose less of a threat than 2 random 6th street guys.

NUSA elite forces that literally should have access to the BEST stuff that exists and would give MaxTac a run for their money ? Literally random trash mobs that can’t do shit and don’t even have basic cybernetics.

The whole DLC is kind of a shitshow in terms of what V can do or can’t

Oh yay the 20th post on this exact subject

  8. The thing was tech so good Militech didn’t want to sell it, you’re effectively a basic ass human bean because the blackwall AIs are jamming your cyberware and the Cerberus also did not fall through multiple concrete floors before having several tons of metal land on it unlike the Chimera.

It’s designed like a tank meant to wistand allot of firepower

  10. It’s powerful because somi didn’t want to go quitely & had this maniac chase us through an entire nuclear weapons facility as she then also order’d the poor thing to diseect us.While also working her own manipulation tactics to gain our sympathy. While having the robot hold a screw driver to our own head.As she then imprisoned us in her mind realm to have a chat.Luckly for us she had a moment off clarity in the end as she then told the robot to not disecct us.As she then let us go.As we reunited with kerry eurodyne in our corpo plaza apartment & came to be hated by reed for the rest off the story. The end

Mostly because it was the in the script.

  12. Vector_Mortis

It’s in a facility controlled by the Blackwell probably

  13. NOIRQUANTUM

It as designed to be indestructible able to withstand high calibre bullets and it is controlled by a rogue AI.

  14. Doll-scented-hunter

Its the same reason why V is only sometimes bothered by the chip: plot. Game V would T-bag the piece of junk so hard it would kill itself.

  15. Grater_Kudos

I was so terrified, it felt like I had a taste of Alien Isolation lol

  16. EldritchBadTouch

It’s a High end Millitech robot possessed by Daemons from beyond the Blackwall. Why do you think it’s a danger to V? Being hunted by that thing was terrifying.

  17. Heylookaguy

Worst mistake of design in the whole game imo. If I wanted to play alien isolation that’s exactly what I’d be playing.

I would happily have fought an endless wave of the fucking things if I could kill them. That actually would have been pretty cool. But nah. We get tactical espionage action and an immortal enemy that insta-kills you. Straight bullshit.

  18. gale1612

It’s 55 years old by the time you encounter it, and it’s nice and old fashioned: not networked unless it’s plugged in and mostly just hydraulics, so no 2077 black magic will work on it.

  19. Hells-Creampuff

It was built to withstand a lot of truama, and the ~~demons~~ rogue ai from beyond the blackwall doesn’t help

  20. cecedi21

The Rogue AI controlling it disables every V’s cyberware. So it turns V into a normal human, and I don’t think a single human could do much against an evil crawling forklift, even with a gun

  21. DESTROYER963

have you seen a Pursuers stats from the tabletop? it has 200 body

  22. ProtoReaper23113

Because its a war machine. Look up smashers oni body or the one david puts on and remember it has to compete with that. Hell the basilisk is basically a cargo ship and it kicks ass
