They wanted to make borderlands with DC characters and it didnt work out

If there ever was a sign that the game is a massive failure

Can’t wait for the day gamers realize Steam numbers aren’t everything.

Halo infinite wouldn’t even be getting support if we off Steam numbers. Some games just do better on console like Halo. The game seems to be doing fine on PlayStation. As it been best selling tab for awhile now it’s gone from 5 to 2 for a few days and now five again. I’d be interested in seeing its Xbox numbers though.

Can I be frank? This is a pathetic product. I hope they get all the flack that’s coming to them and I hope some of these devs reconsider their career choice.

One again people trying to make it seem like steam charts is the end all be all when it’s not. Other platforms exist…

Would I rather play as superman or as killer shark? Hmmm…

I mean is anyone surprised ? Tbh I think it’s still to high

How many storied developers with a history of well-reviewed single player games being forced to make live-service garbage have to fall before this trend just dies?

Just make a simple story based justice league game . It’s that’s simple. Fucking money hungry idiots

  12. drrocksodm

This is a shame because it’s better than the avengers

Game devs want business models, but have no idea how to implement them.

It’s almost as if the audience learns from being burned, before.

Loved the Arkham series. AK was such a nice surprise, because I got it for free in the PSPLUS. The last mission, to me, was such a nice finish to the saga, even though it had some flaws.

Then I watched the cutscene >!where they Kill batman!<.

From the thumbnail, I was IMEDIATLY hooked. I love me some high stakes drama in a story, and I wondered how awesome was >!Kevin Conroy’s last role!< – he always nails it! They could literally write anything that I would’ve love….

It was amazing that they made such a shit job, to the point I LOL’d staring at my screen.

Good. They need to quit making these live service games. 99% of them are trash or close to it. And the story of this one doesn’t sound like it was particularly good, either.

Oh wow. I was expecting this to bomb, but they’ll be dead in a couple months at this rate. I’m really hoping this game acts as a lesson to other devs who think they can turn their story based game into a live service money printer.

Did anyone actually want another Suicide Squad game?

  19. DarkBomberX

I heard “live games as a service” and just stopped caring about this game. I play Fortnite and that’s it. I don’t pick up any other. When I read about that with this game, I wrote it off.

Which sucks because I feel a borderlands style game with superheroes could be good, but they keep being greedy.

WB Games need a wake-up call. This and MK1 are both disappointing in their own ways. Look at the massive sales of the lovingly created Harry Potter game that ticks off all the boxes for fans of that franchise. Suicide Squad is just a bunch of bad decisions compared to that.

Stop chasing service games money in games that shouldn’t be service games to begin with. What a colossal waste of incredible talent and resources.

I don’t even know tat much about these games but I feel like that headline is not a compliment

I don’t think this is indictative of it being a much worse game. They’re both garbage, but Marvel’s movie success meant that any triple A budget marvel game was bound to sell well. Marvel missed out on the movie game train, with Spiderman being the only significant one, so the more casual audience were absolutely frothing at the teeth for a MCU game. It wasn’t great, but it had no competition in the space at the time.

Suicide Squad is feeding from a far less successful franchise, and after the dissapointment from the Avengers game, people were probably wary of it to begin with. Add onto that Rocksteady dropping the ball on Arkham Knight, and not being able to capitalize on the previous Arkham games by making this game “arkham (blank)”.

Just from viewing the two games, Suicide Squad certainly looks more interesting to me, but I doubt I’ll ever play either because they look boring as fuck.

  23. Westfield__Rocks

    I’m actually enjoying this game.

I wished it was just a single player and skipped the entire looter aspect but I’m still having a good time.

  24. Hopalongtom

The story was pretty fun and in character from what I saw, gameplay didn’t look to be my thing though.

Harlie Quin is annoying as a main character. She works best as a henchman
