I mean, its just a common de-escalation technique. Years ago I worked in a call center in the escalation department and basically every call I said some form of “I hear you”, “I understand why you’d be upset”, or “We are listening and we’re doing everything we can to fix the situation”. I don’t think it’s anything to get up in arms about.

If Microsoft wants to fix Xbox and their gaming division they need to start putting their games on PS5 and Switch like they said they are going to, that’s a good first step and will get their games into millions of more homes and dramatically increase their profit potential.
They also need to get out of the console market entirely since they are losing that race and hemorrhaging money from it.
They should shift focus to making quality games first and PC as their base platform and maybe make a Steam Deck like handheld and/or mini PC device that looks like a home console but is just a PC like the Steam Box branding both as Xbox if they want to have their own proprietary devices still.
They also really need to stop buying up every developer they can like they have the last few years, I mean they’ve spent billions on purchasing and hundreds of millions on taxes and court fees.
