Have you played prototype? Mercer survives a nuke and recovers with no visible harm after consuming a crow. If wesker was anything close to mercer he would of turned Jill and Chris into a fine red paste in their first fight. Imagine Mercer, someone who casually blows up tanks like fodder, being bested by a single unmodified human
with gun like Wesker has.

Even by the end of RE5 Wesker doesn’t display anywhere near the level of control of his own bodymass as Mercer does, which makes sense because unlike Wesker the virus IS Mercer.

From what I’ve seen, wesker actually beats out mercer in pure speed and agility, but, mercer not only has more control over his form, he also is seemingly more durable, and depending on the battle field, he can snatch up a few critters/pedestrians to heal himself. Id say it’d be a mercer win, low diff.
