I grew up absolutely loving these games, tiberium sun, red alert 2, tiberium wars, kanes wrath expansion – just to name a few…
The remastered collection was nice but would love to see a brand new game of this, GDI vs NOD and a new story.
Anyone else? Or is it just me?

I am more of a red alert guy, I think EA still has it and since their last CC game was a mobile game, I doubt we’re getting one for some time

Pretty damn soon. I’ve forgotten the name but there’s a game coming out this year that’s aiming for the c&c audience. It has comparable factions and such.

Age of Empires is the perfect example that you can still make a viable RTS, respecting fans AND making money/subscriptions to a gamepass
Age of Empires 2 definitive edition and AoE IV are working quite well, healty playerbase even on steam (it’s free on GP), seasons, extensions…
EA cannot make an RTS today, it’s better to just leave it as-is, and tbh, even when they make actual efforts like that Star Wars Squadrons game, people kinda ignore it anyways

Well since the remaster of C&C sell well and so did Dead space remake. We still might see another remaster of a few more of the games. But I think that’s few years off

Never say never but it seems unlikely since EA probably only view C&C as a mobile franchise now since most isometric strategy games are mobile.

As a kid I spent countless hours screwing around on the PS port, Red Alert: Retaliation. What a cool game. Tesla tanks roaming and zapping their foes was always so satisfying.

There is a game in developement by Slipgate Ironworks,called Tempest Rising. It is very clearly meant to be a succesor to Command and Conquer. They even got Frank Klepacki in on it.
They took the devs into the basement office and bricked the doors up

The Remastered Collection was perfect for me, as it has the only two C&C games worth playing: OG C&C and OG Red Alert. Plus, you don’t have to do that dumb EA Origin stuff.
