Just finished the main story of “We Happy Few” and am a bit emotionally drained by the various storylines. Glad I finally decided to give it a go after it had some really naff reviews when it came out years back. Top stuff.

I remember the first trailers. Was kinda excited but it never really grabbed me. Wasn’t sure if the meelee-only gameplay was something I might enjoy.

I completed Act I, and expected it to stop there, but than Act II started and I quit. I liked it very much but Act I was long enough to me

I too was drawn in by the trailers. Played the early release and was very much…. Meh… Performance issues everywhere and the story wasn’t in place.
But now it’s a finished game, I really enjoyed playing it. The world and characters are excellent. The story gets a little long towards the end, but yeah, still think it’s a great game.

Wow, well done on your perseverance. Fantastic game but I had to tap out, such a wild ride and like you say, emotionally draining at times 😅

I have a hard time getting into for some reason. I’ll have to download it again I bought it when it was a game preview

I need to re-install this and give it another attempt. I was very much sold on the similar vibes and alternate history feelings that made it feel like BioShock. But then on release it was like an open-world, semi-survival based game with hunger and thirst and whatnot that it lost me almost immediately.
I just don’t enjoy those kinds of games, and I was wanting more of a linear game. I *did* finish Arthur’s story, so I’ll likely go back and play the whole thing sometime.
