Who else decided to change allies when for some reason they flatlined these guys….

Yea, that was another bad moment for Reed and to my surprise Alex as well. Felt totally unnecessary.

  2. zayman112

I did. I was like “oh if they did that to them, they’ll do it to me too”

It was some really good writing, it didn’t sit well with me what happened to those two and sowed more distrust.

  3. Thepathreddit2024

Was definitely an “oh shit” moment. My V might kill anyone you pay her too, but that’s part of the gig, not random sadism or dressed up as some lesser evil bs.

  4. Lopsided_Newt_5798

I was surprised V was so surprised. No way Reed woulda let them walk free. Ever wonder what happened to the scavengers you meet in the hideout?

*”Play grown-up games, face grown-up consequences.”*

  6. Used-Statistician225

Didn’t give a F about the brother only the sister did my opinions on Reed and Alex change

  7. illbeniceipromise

Why? V has been executing people in cold blood all game

  8. Background_Yam_7686

I turned my back on them and changed again at the end and betrayed SB. Either way no one had your best interest at heart. Loved the expansion, but all along the way it had me second guessing my judgement. Definitely gonna lead to a lot of play throughs to get all sides of the spectrum.

  9. pichael289

CDPR makes the hottest character ever and not only is there no romance option, they fuckin kill her two missions in.

  10. DrReisender

I was hesitating already before, but it got me to change yeah. Didn’t know them enough to consider them as just trash people deserving to just die.

Would have prefered them to have seen nothing and be hostages.

  11. Skagtastic

I had already decided Reed couldn’t be trusted by that point.

Though I was surprised that my V was shocked at it. Not even taking the hundreds my V had already buried, what did V think was going to happen with 2 loose ends in an operation for NUSA national security? V already saw what happened with Slider – another loose end wrapped up.

  12. loveinthoughts_

Eh, not really, I found both of them a bit annoying, didn’t exactly want them to die tho… I was really surprised at how Reed and Alex kill them at cold blood and freak out at them, but then I realized V had been killing people left and right since the beginning of the game, so… 🤷🏻‍♀️ Dunno, maybe the difference was that we get to know the twins a little bit more than more people we get to kill on gigs, but from Alex and Reed’s perspective I don’t find it THAT different from what V does for living

  13. Darth_Foley

I do not understand the outrage. V has flatlined soooo many people by this point, many of whom are probably a lot less morally compromised than the twins.

  14. MMCG9096

It pissed me off at first, but then I realized that was probably a forgone conclusion. Makes it redundant that you take the whole car ride rather than just zero them in the dark parking lot. Just goes to show how well CDPR created the character that you give a shit about her after just two interactions. As for the morality, you’re warned right out of the gate at the casino to be careful of them. She is a manipulative charmer.

Thinking that Reed and Alex killing them should put you in Song’s corner is flawed logic as well. Remember that Songbird drew this plan up. She’s FIA too, and knows this play would mean killing them. Arguably she carries the most blame for setting up their death. I personally think Reed is one of my favorite characters in the game. Sure he isn’t 100% forthcoming with things, but his values are solid and predictable. His story felt very relatable to my disgraced corpo V.

  15. JesusSamuraiLapdance

Loose ends, and V is no better.

  16. Lopsided_Newt_5798

Eavesdropping during the car ride unlocks loot/mission.

  17. Iatemydoggo

Oh noooooo they killed the sociopath criminal lady

Like jfc I know it’s a known fact here but the entire fanbase can seemingly only think with their dicks

  18. Anchiros-The-Maw

Not precisely, these people were nothing more than useful pawns. Memorable as they may be, they would’ve been more useful to us dead, than alive. We also have to remember that they are A-lister criminals in the EU, so icing them is an okay in my book.

  19. CJRandall2000

That was when I knew for sure the NUSA wouldn’t let Songbird live

  20. Illasaviel

I was already going to betray Reed because of Songbird, but their deaths pushed me past any kind of lingering doubts I had.

  21. enchiladasundae

Straight up. Never trusted Reed after that. I know why they did it but never telling V was the line. Should have clued him in from the start. Worst off was how nonchalant he was about it and seeing how he followed Meyers without so much as a second thought. Recontextualized a lit of stuff

  22. LegendkillahQB

I just finished a playthrough. Where I listened to Reed and captured Song. It didn’t feel right at all. It was nice gerring another ending but it felt wrong.

  23. loopysausage

    No.
Couldn’t care about them tbh, and most definitely not my reason to side with Song.

  24. i wanted too 🥲 but i’m running a smg build and erebus is a must have. to be fair somi was also lying to you every step of the way.

  25. I-am-a-Fancy-Boy

I mean I expected it but yeah, definitely not a comfy scene. Opens your eyes to the fact that Reed would do the exact same thing to you the second he got the order, same way So Mi did to him. Dog eat dog world

  26. Rimmatimtim22

I think they really wanted to trick people into doing this. As soon as that happened I knew I was siding with songbird, but in doing so you get the worst (in my opinion) endings possible.

  27. I managed to play PL without spoilers despite only finally playing it about a month ago. I was shakily leaning toward Reed at this point, but this threw me solidly onto Songbird’s side. When they’re done with me, who’s to say they won’t do the same thing to me? Reed seems like a fairly solid guy, but at the end of the day he’s Meyers’ lap dog. And then at the Spaceport, I went the same way. If they weren’t for certain going to kill me the moment I stopped being useful, they definitely would after I’d already betrayed them once.

  28. Simpnation420

I mean of course they would do that, right? I just thought that with their skills, maybe they have a place in the FIA, or hell just put them in a NUS jail.

I guess I was just expecting a better ending for everyone involved…

  29. Rich-Requirement9156

These guys were not saints. They were high level criminals

  30. Elitericky

The twins were not good people, they likely would have done the same to V if given the chance. It’s not like V is a good person to begin with, from what I’ve seen people are bothered by this simply because they find aurore hot.

  31. fingerpaintswithpoop

Given all the people you can choose to kill or spare and the objectively evil shit V can do in some gigs, depending on how you decide to complete them, I have no clue why anyone would think killing these two is crossing some sort of line. I didn’t give it a second thought.

  32. NyanneAlter3

I mean… they are FIA’s targets. What would you expect from an organization born from the ash of CIA and NSA? Give them milk and cookies, read them a nice bed time story, then tug them into bed? V is a merc that has flatlined a lot of people. I’d argue that it’s unrealistic for V to be that suprised. Just like Reed said: “Play Grown-up games, face grown-up consequences.”

  33. TomSeguraIsNotFunny

Yeah I was kinda shocked but I understood the logic – also fairly hypocritical if V had a huge issue with it.

It was just so sudden. I’d already decided to support So Mi anyway. But seeing Alex put two slugs into my new redheaded GF really sealed the deal.

  34. sludgezone

I woulda killed these two trust fund dorks the second I could, if I was mad at Reed for anything it was not letting me do the honors.

  35. landoofficial

Bruh V’s a mercenary who’s probably stacked more bodies than they have days spent on this earth, he/she doesn’t have a leg to stand on here.

If it weren’t for Aurora being a bombshell nobody in this sub would be defending the twins.

  36. listenidkbro

listen listen cdpr cant be playing with my heart strings like that when i got out of that car and saw them (more specifically aurore) dead god damn that scene of shinji screaming when he found out asuka was dead played in my head

also yeah ik they were fia targets and aurore was a bombshell but why on gods chromed earth did they make them so beautiful

  37. RocktheNashtah

Lmao I just find it hilarious “did they have to kill these two” come on y’all none of you give a shit about the brother, it’s the French trust fund waifu everyone’s crazy bout

I mean I don’t disagree either what happened to them felt abrupt, wish we’ve seen them in action as criminals
