That’s better than what I have lol

Budget but decent setup, how about PSU and case?

Sweet! With the 650w psu there is even headroom for some sweet cpu and gpu upgrades in the future 👌

Congratulation for your kid! 6650XT is a find for few years. Don’t might I asking how much total cost you ?

Wow, thanks dad, I’ll send you my address and you can just mail the parts to me.

Just built a 6600 xt/5600x system for my daughter. Runs actually pretty great, @1080p of course.

  7. Excellent budget build, will actually crush 1080p.

This is an insane build for a first PC! Great job!

  9. Less_Caterpillar9852

I got pretty much the same specs. Handles 1080p really well!

Great setup. Just built one with my teenager. I had him install the fans, seat the cpu and memory. Also the m.2’s. Got him involved as much as i could. Happy gaming!

Beside the hardware is cool for the spend budget – you are a great dad!

Tip: Make your own Windows install media for free with a working computer and a blank fat32 flashdrive.

Almost exactly what I’m getting my kid for his 15th b-day next month

Only difference is the GPU. He’s saving for that so he’s undecided on which one to buy

  15. Very solid, though it may have been better to get a current gen cpu/ram/mobo. Then again, that would be likely significantly more expensive given how these components are probably on sale now. I have a 5600x and it’s running great and I’m using DDR4 and a 2070s, and I’ve yet to have any need to upgrade.

Overall, more than enough for solid framerates on good settings for the foreseeable future!

This is really similar to what my son has, crushes all his favorite games at 1080p

Dad? Is that you? I’m your long lost 39 year old son.

Wow you didnt build your 10 year old a 14900k and a 4090 with a custom loop? What a cheapo, your kid will never forgive you. /s

This is a great build for them, especially if its their first and the price you got everything for is excellent. Will be a nice thing you guys can build together!
