Rumor is that the source code of bloodborne is an absolute disaster that no one has been able to untangle, and is apparently a virtual miracle that it even works on PS. It would effectively have to be recreated almost entirely from scratch, and if you are going to do that anyway, you might as well just make something new.

There were rumors about this for months now and apparently they even changed some of the story. It’s way better than just a remaster. I don’t condone remaking shit so soon still but it’s been 9 years. It makes way more sense than remastering the last of us 2. And yes bloodborne definitely should be next. Wouldn’t surprise me if the guys who remade demons souls are making it right now.

I honestly assumed they would starting on Bloodborne right after finishing Demon Souls, but we haven’t heard anything from them over 3 years now.

This used to bother me not one bit, now just last year I beat DS1 and Elden Ring for the first time ever, beat Darks Souls 3 just last week. I craving for more probably going Demon Souls remake next, but would realy love to go BB. I just cant do it, I want it to run 60fps, would be happy just for an update. I just have to wait and see. Sekiro is a pass because I hate stealth games and I have not parryed in Fromsoft game, not even once.

By this point I’m getting the feeling that they’re either planning something BIG for Bloodborne instead of a straight up enhanced edition, or there’s a teeny tiny clause in the FromSoft contract that states that no one BUT FromSoft can work on the IP.
I just refuse to believe that a company could be so out of touch with their customers to not see the huge demand and monetary benefit for it.

They don’t really have a studio that can do it besides Bluepoint who might be doing a Bloodborne remake/remaster but we don’t know what they are working on.
Word is they are making their own new games though.
The problem is Sony doesn’t own the developers of Bloodborne and can’t make them do anything.
All the other games receiving enhancements are made by Sony studios. Until Dawn is being done by Ballistic Moon who are a new small studio made up of some ex Supermassive developers who made Until Dawn originally
