The realism. I know that’s kind of crazy to say for a game set in the future lol, but the realism of the story/graphics & also the room left for combat creativity is what makes this game for me.

During the lowest point of my life I found this game. I lost my best friend and ex girlfriend at the same time. So the characters, the story, made me feel these emotions that cemented and minimized the pain. It will always hold a special place in my heart because of how it helped me during these moments.

Aside from personal reasons here are some of the things i loved about Cyberpunk 2077:

-Specific missions evokes strong emotional responses
    -The music is god tier

-Combat is fun, you can combine different builds to suit your playstyle

-Replayability value is great. easily you can have multiple playthroughs different choices, different endings

    – well written characters
    – gives a realistic point of view on how powerful corporations dominate cities,
    – the game show how something so beautiful have tragedy underneath all the glamour

It’s not perfect, it doesn’t need to be, all I can say is it’s worth it and one of my favorite games of all time coming from a gamer with internet dial up way back. 👵🏼

Definitely the universe, Night City vibes and the topics explored in the game. There’s a lot of morally ambiguous choices to be made, and I loved learning all about how things like what means to be you (and what means to be human), religion, corporate greed and much more are explored in a cyberpunk setting.

I also love the little details that are everywhere (ads, easter eggs etc) and seem endless. The gameplay loop itself is 100% up my alley, no other game has come this close to giving me what I enjoy doing in a game. To top it all off, I absolutely love all the characters we get to meet.

I keep coming back to Night City every week since launch. I could talk forever about what I love in Cyberpunk 2077, so for now I’ll just stop here haha

  4. Virtual-Chris

For me, it’s the Blade Runner vibe and aesthetic.

  5. Diegolobox

I like 80s/90s cyberpunk dystopias. blade runner, the neuromancer, cool names, hypersexualization, total freedom of individual expression, corporations. For example, Johnny makes a lot of real speeches even if they are cynical and sometimes he tries to do the right thing in his own way but despite this, when it comes to activism and corporations he turns into a psychopathic asshole, selfish terrorist, mythomaniac, arrogant and also a little scary and that makes you uncomfortable

  6. InfamousMobb367

Bro it’s an amazing game, imho cyberpunk set its own genre of video game for me, I loved it at launch and dove back into it a couple weeks ago.. I’m now about to finish phantom liberty and I don’t want it to end, I want happy endings and there’s no happy endings in night city… the amount of times I get side tracked by doing side missions or gigs in the middle of doing a main mission is countless, every single time in fact, and with the new update the hunt for iconics and how to get them is better

  7. A lot of well orchestrated craftsmanship.

Human models look great. The people range from ugly to very attractive. The clothes look great. So to the mods on the person.

The interior design in the game is amazing.

Cars look great. But… they drive like crap.

    Music is well made.

Honestly a bit of everything. The world, the detail the story. It’s got something for everyone I feel like, and it still can be expanded on even more! It feels real enough to be something that happens in our real world lives, but also future enough to also bring you to a world that’s unreal. Not many worlds in video games truly capture that vibe. Most bring you to a world or place that is clearly made up, cyberpunk feels like it’s bound to happen to us in our real lives. Idk I’m prob explaining it poorly.

  9. Frequent-Low1010

Might be weird but the sound of the revolvers and the katana

And the cake, never forget the cake 🫢

  10. littletrainthattried

Honestly… for me, it’s the brutal honesty in the game…

    Adults have sex…
People screw over others to get ahead…
There are vastly more poor people than rich….
the ultra rich have all the control…
The city is dirty and clean.
You see bars, skin dives, shops, high rise apartments, mansions.. abandoned buildings, homeless working class, etc…

It’s not sanitizing it to appeal to censors, it don’t paint a pretty picture that everyone is employed, there is food for everyone, and only the ‘bad guys’ live in the bad places.

Then.. is the guns, blades, cybernetics and the game play itself…

Then the graphics… even on my Xbox Series S, it looks absolutely gorgeous.

    CDPR.

They have the same quality writing, dialogue and attention to detail theyve carried since W3. I assumed that this would just be a futuristic GTA clone, but I was surpised with a world rich in dystopian, theological, psychological themes in every nook and cranny. A world that feels real and possible while still maintaining a wisp of supernatural. The characters feel real in a made up world. The world feels gritty and horrible in all the ways its magical and wondrous. Also because the girls are hot and the combat is ridiculous.

  12. Many things so here’s a wee list:

    – Realisim and potential realism

    – Lore

    -Storry

    – Characters

    – No happy ending

    – Easter eggs and references

  13. Lot of awesome comments, I love it because I have a really good GPU and seeing this game at 4k high settings with almost no hiccups is a blast.

  14. HaikenRD

While we follow V’s story. The main character of this game is the entire city.

  15. IndianaBlack

It’s an excellent story with fantastic narratives and characters throughout.

And honestly – really accurate and in-depth women characters. Which is big because in the past this Dev has really butchered women characters. You can see how much progress theyve made

  16. Agreeable-Toe-1918

It makes me feel like a badass taking out whole groups of enemies with barely a sweat. Plus I can customize my female V to be my dream woman and dress her how I want to, and take tons of pictures in game, which I’ve never done before. But the game is so good, you kinda have to sit back and enjoy it.

I’m level 41 on this playthough and still haven’t gotten to the phantom liberty part yet. I really need to do it, but I’m stuck doing Automatic Love quest so I can unlock it and play it.

  17. MightyM9

The fact that unlike most RPGs, ur choices ACTUALLY affect the story and the world, in big ways too. And the story telling is just beautifully done.

Not to mention the combat is amazing too. This game has some of the most fun movement I’ve played with and an abundance of different playstyles. I’ve only been playing for like 3 weeks or so now and it’s definitely one of the best if not the best game I’ve played. (Tho I haven’t played that many tbf)

  18. Night City is by far the most dense and immersive map I’ve ever had the pleasure to explore in any RPG I’ve played so far.

  19. Theknightbeyond

The only way I can possibly list it is great inspiration from sci-fi hit movies and shows that almost feels realistic, a great (imo) way to see what a future with technology has gone so far for people from what i always had such a curiosity because of my favorite show and hero Batman Beyond, the story, the characters, the whole history behind what made Brought it to life, and definitely the Fandom to help bring it together and give this universe a shot to be seen thanks to the creator Mike Pondsmith. Seeing it come to life and having the chance to play it and be a part of it made me cry tears of joy because my younger self felt so damn happy and excited to be a part of it thanks to my wife. Because of her I feel like a kid again when ever I hop on. I’m very grateful for this community.

  20. New_Pace_6321

Story, gameplay, mechanics, weapons, cars, bikes, characters and so on! Everything is perfect! One of the best games of all time.

  21. cowmonaut

I’ve been playing the TTRPG since I was 13. The whole genre has been near and dear to me ever since i first got my hands on the rulebook. The fact CDPR was able to make an important part of my childhood come to life so *perfectly* is amazing.

I will never be able to fully describe to others what it felt like to see for the first time Nomad Santiago, Rogue, Spyder Murphy, Johnny Silverhand, and Adam Smasher come to life. It was a visceral experience. I’m not an emotional person and riding an AV in one scene was just surreal. I’d *played* that mission before, but now it’s *real*. Now *they* are real.

Once I get past that, it’s about how amazing the game design is. Even more than any Far Cry game, etc. the freedom to approach every mission just *felt* cyberpunk. In CP2020 you’d get some job to go fetch some thing or take care of some person or escort some convoy and it was just fully up to the players to figure out what they’d do and roll with the consequences. Capturing that on every non-main mission, and even quite a few of the main missions, is astounding.

I even like the new version of Chippin In (compared to the lyrics in the old CP2020 book) and that is probably the only thing that wasn’t my childhood imagination somehow coming to life.

I could keep going on, but even with the early jank and playing it on a laptop from 2011, this game just nailed it for me. Now thst I got a proper rig I’m playing it again and it’s even better than before.

Night City feels very alive. There’s lots of smaller ongoing mini stories that are there to be found, glimpses into other peoples lives and adventures even if you only see the fallout or a small slice that never gets answered. Taking the time to look around, to read, to put the pieces together paints a much more detailed and beautiful picture of the bleak capitalist dystopia of NC than you get just skating through.

I also really like the scale of the story. I kinda like that we’re not The Chosen One trying to Save The World or anything. Telling a smaller story of one merc’s attempt to save their own life and having to tussle with forces that are *way* above their pay grade is an interesting tale, and seeing that we struggle to affect true genuine change in the world is both bleak and almost refreshing to see, that it’s not so simple for just one person to do something crazy.

Also just has fun gameplay. The variety of styles and the ways you can play feel very different, especially as the game’s evolved. The way you need to look at encounters as a Netrunner versus a street samurai versus a heavy gunner are all very different, and the game (mostly) gives you the chance to take advantage of your style. Most encounters have variable ways to handle them, either through the front door, side entrances, clever dialogue, or stealth and can make the same Gig or quest feel very different. Not every quest, but plenty of them.

  23. bladestorm1745

Got the game at Christmas and so far have 98 hours on it.

I’d say it was the story. The characters are so much fun and the romances felt legitimate. Panam 4ever

  24. kEnough_69

1)The story in the beginning I thought would be a cheap fight club ripoff but holy shit I was bamboozled beyond belief.

    2) Delivering the promise of a complete game even though it took them quite a time but boy have they made a come back

3)Path life’s and so many ways to do one single mission with multiple endings

    4)I LOVE PANAM AND JUDY

  25. dodges1010

It doesn’t feel just as a game. At one moment I thought I m reallying living as V. I sank in the game and lost my true self. It’s a great getaway from life.

  26. William_Brobrine

Basically everything Mike said in that interview.

I love the game world and atmosphere.

The First person perspective makes me feel In the game I’m V and V Is me.

The gameplay is fun and makes you feel powerful like you can do something you are more than a helpless citizen you are stong in your own way to make a difference. But “it’s isn’t about saving the world. It’s about saving yourself” and the friends and people you meet aking the way.

    Nothing feels out of place

    “Can’t stop digging Night City!”

  27. PissdCentrist

The overall open world. It feels real, its so large that you can get lost easily no matter how much time you have in the game there are little places here and ther you have never seen. The detail they went into this game is amazing

  28. ADandyWaffle

The put very briefly. It’s the only open world game that’s got style, soul and substance. That is why people love it despite all the jank it has.

This game and the first watchdogs(2014) game are literally the only open world games that I like in the ocean of mediocre open world games.

  29. Charlie-brownie666

The aesthetic and how similar it is to our reality despite being so “far away”

  30. fuckyourfac3

The story, how immersive the world is, how easy it was for me to get attached to the characters. The weapons, clothes and cars. The whole aesthetic. Everything about this game just got me.

  31. mattforcum

One of the most fully realized and immersive sci-fi game worlds ever made.

  32. Principatus

I agree with everything I read from others but I just want to add about mods. There are so many amazing mods that make it *even* better. My favorite right now is [Stealthrunner](https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7616). It’s amazing, turns the game into Assassin’s Creed basically. Just when I thought I had enough for now, nope I’m addicted again.

  33. It is a masterpiece in my opinion, and I feel it is the city and surrounds that make it the game it is, a dangerous by oddly beautiful place.

This of course takes nothing away from the characters, writing, mechanics, story line and missions, they are all good and compliment the city.

  34. Jaded-Building-1064

It made me even more depressed then I already was.

  35. For me, probably the map size and all the content packed in. They did great. 🤘

  36. p1zzaman81

Every street corner is beautifully designed.

  37. Frugalman123

a good game that doesn’t take place in a forest or desert…..

  38. HereticWindowsill

The lack of visible loading screens is incredible

  39. Duckface998

The multitude of ways it can end and how all of them are morally questionable, except for helping the NUSA that ending was just sad

  40. HellBoygamingYT

The characters feel real even some of the minor ones

  41. Collin9199

I don’t love the game. I love the cyberpunk genre. Ever since I first read Neuromancer I’ve been in love with the genre. The game is fine, but full of missed potential that was caused by the exact corporate greed that is a common theme in cyberpunk media. Almost reads like satire.

  42. BizarreSky-

almost everything about it is amazing. it probably should have launched this year, to be honest. money and government money is the reason it was rushed.

  43. SloppyJoestar

The answer to your question is:

Watson, Night Drive, Rain, Pacific Dreams
