You can do this with thermite grenades to.
I had to do this almost 6 times in a game. It never showed on screen. Once I looked at calling cards it was there.
I did it first try with a frag…
Killed about 15 or more the last weeks, and today it finally popped up, it said first it was giljotin kill, and then I got the Pin Pulled. The second or third grenade he swallowed he died and it finally counted!

Update: I got it now, guess how? 😀 Doing exactly the same like I did in this video 🙂
From what I understand this is a common bug, for some reason many people have to do the challenge twice to get it to count.
I threw a cymbal monkey at one last night and he flew like 600 feet away, it was hilarious
I have this achievement. Killed like 1 or 2 maybe? With guns. No nades thrown at all. Still have it unlocked 🤷🏻
