Off topic: Has anyone ever tried putting something like this on baby registry and did it work?

  4. Lastsoft81

Isn’t all purchases is covered by amazon anyway?
If its a scam then you get your money back and some disappointment if not the you got a7900 for sub 800 🤯

Use a credit card and find out. That way it’s the banks problem and Amazons problem to get the money back. Less worst case scenario, it never arrives so you ask to get a refund. Worst case scenario you get a bricked card or something else that matches the weight and ask for the refund.

This gets posted almost weekly, just under different vendor names. Yes it is a scam.

Same seller is listing the Saphire Nitro 7900xtx for $650. Scam

  8. DoYouEvenComms

My 7900xtx has been crashing to black screen with audio continuing while playing games lately. Really need to get that figured out.

  9. likeonions

Check seller. Most likely a Chinese scammer taking advantage of the fact Americans pay with a card before the product they’ve bought even sees daylight.

  11. Jonas_Venture_Sr

It’s wild how Amazon can allow products like this on their site.

    For the dark side!

  13. I got scammed on Amazon when buying a processor, it even said sold and shipped by Amazon. Amazon was no help and I had to do a chargeback, never buy CPUs or GPUs from Amazon, it’s a nightmare

  14. Lacerationz

Bro amazon always has banger deals like this recently. Like this past year, i would just buy it and find out. Amazon always sides with you and if this seller is a scam others would have gone for it too by now and reported them. People saying this is a scam dont have amazon shopping addictions imo

  15. StrikerX1360

It is absolutely, 100% a scam.

  20. No it’s not a scam. Is it possible it fell off a truck? Maybe. But for fucks sake Amazon reviews are public and show location. Look at the reviews, look at the images. Especially look at the negative reviews. Stop looking for people in this sub to make an informed decision for you. 90% of them have no clue wtf they’re talking about. They’ll tell you a 400$ used pc with a 3080 in it is a bad deal.

  21. MajesticCabinet6

Definitely a scam. I’ve even seen motherboard listings like this.

  22. wickedhealer

I love tick the gift wrap option to prevent bump damage. Not sure why you think they aren’t legit. I exclusively buy my pc components from them

As someone that checks PCPP for the pricing on the Nitro 7900XTX, I nearly pooped myself this morning since I was also expecting the 4080S benchmark embargo to drop today as well. Turns out that’s tomorrow, btw.

Soon as I went to Amazon’s page, my heart sank before I even looked at the seller. I knew it was another bastard scammer. They did the same to the Gigabyte OC variant, as well.

Still, I saw Amazon added a $30 off coupon bringing the Nitro down to $1019. Not much but I am not sure AMD drops the price once the 4080S is released since I doubt the 4080S will sell close to the $999 MSRP.

This same seller was brought up earlier in this sub, as a probable scam…
