Xenoblade looks really fun I bought the definitive edition like a year or two ago but didn’t really enjoy the combat, it just wasn’t for me. I’ve watched people it and it’s a amazing game nonetheless.
Oh my goodness, you made me remember about Xenoblade. It’s cool that you don’t care for it. But goodness, I loved those games. Every one is so great, such fun. But I absolutely have some members of my pack that don’t dig it. It’s just not their jam and that’s A-OK 💯😎
To answer your question, probably gonna say- after a couple secs of crunching on this stumper- I’m rolling with Gears of War. Dug 4, 5 was meh, 3 awful, just didn’t vibe with me on the whole. I know many people crush it and that’s super neat, but it ain’t my thing to dig! Best wishes out there 🙂 👍🏻

I’m going to say Xenoblade as well.
I gave Xenoblade 2 twenty hours, and they were the most bored I have been playing games in a long time. I don’t care if the game gets good forty hours in, I could replay the entire Bioshock franchise in that time, and that’s including Minerva’s Den and BOTH parts of Burial at Sea.

I think the storytelling, theme and aesthetic of shin megami tensei and persona games is incredible, but after playing persona 4 and 5, i dont think i can bring myself to play another 100 hour jrpg

I tried to get into Persona. Maybe I’m too old or just close minded but I have zero desire to roleplay as a high school student.

I tried a couple times but Red Dead Redemption 2 is boring as heck.

I could only get into xeno 2. I gave the rest a try and couldn’t get into it.
Mine would be any LoZ. Tried many times to get into them. Thought breath of the wild would get me but alas it didnt.

any turn based games.

The first one is great imo.
The other two are meh.

The psx resident evils. The controls killed it for me.
Midavrs
Elite Dangerous
Amount of thing you need to do to just to land a ship was too much for me

The Resistance games by Insomniac. Love all their other games, but just could not get into this series. Not a big fan of fps to begin with, but the game-play wasn’t fun for me, and suffered from muddy grey/brown color scheme of the time period, compared to the very colored R&C

Sunless Skies. Great writing, tedious gameplay.

The Witcher
I like pretty much everything about the games outside of the combat, which was a bit of a deal breaker for me. I still played a good amount of 2 and 3, but I couldn’t ever really enjoy the games combat so I stopped.

I quite Xenoblade after ten minutes because I couldn’t listen to the main character. His VA voiced a character I flat-out loathed in a different game, and I knew I would only be able to hear that character.

Xenoblade is a game series I wanted to get into but couldn’t because I don’t have the right console.

GTA 5.
Guns feel bad, combat feels bad, movement is fairly good, but not fun enough to cover the rest.
I really wanted to like it, but I ended up not even finishing the main story

I really wanted to get into Yakuza, and I know I would love it. But I just don’t like reading. I tried playing Yakuza 0 and I just couldn’t focus and retain any information that I was reading and my ADHD was not helping either. If they ever remaster the game and add english VA (I know the latest games has it). I would buy all of them and enjoy all of them. But something about reading everything turned me off. I know, major skill issue.

Resident evil. It just seems like the shit controls and slow movement have become something the developers bank on to add tension, and I just find it annoying.

Dunky’s video on Xeno is why I stay away from JRPGs (exception for Sea of Stars and FF7R).

Crash Bandicoot. Got the N Sane Trilogy on switch and couldn’t bother getting past the level directly after the first boss. It feels like it wants to have a run button or something it just feels slow and floaty overall, which im not particularly against but… it just doesnt work.

A lot of Japanese games. I liked their stories as more complicated and convoluted. Sometimes I find it innovative like the nier/drakensang.
But yes their gameplay are often not my cup of tea, like the combat in final fantasy.

Star Ocean, it was just entirely too long of a game for me to stay interested in it.
