My temps went down about 15-20 degrees sheesh! Probably would be a bigger gain if I set a more aggressive fan curve instead of the manufacturer default

My strix 2080 was giving me a score of 8196 on timespy when the average was 10985, after repaste im now getting 10902! Eventhough I could have just sold this PC as is, I felt kind of bad not doing the repaste for the future buyer.

I used what I had left over from my thermal grizzly kryonaut and this ended in a slight empty space on the right of the DIE is not a huge deal?
I assume I probably would have gotten a bigger gain if I replaced the pads too and possibly applied more paste but I am happy with the results here, temps are now in the 50-mid 60s range which is nuts compared to constantly being in the 80-85 range before
**TLDR**:
If you are in the same position I was in, where your 5 year old GPU is constantly in the 80+ temp, definitely give your GPU a repaste!

That is among the most dramatic example of pump out effect I have seen. Almost all the paste forced to the edge of the die.
The uncovered portion of the die can actually be a huge problem. That can create a hot spot on the die and cause damage.
use arctic silver 5, it doesn’t pump out like noctua and most of the thinner pastes.
